Jocks riding overweight ? what is permitted ?

I have been under the impression that jocks were PERMITTED to ride MAX 1.5 kgs OVER CARDED WEIGHT. Is this correct or not ?
If they are unable to make this weight they would have to be replaced ?

If I had Striker booked to ride at 52,0 & he can only make 54,5 - can I elect to keep him on top ? ( & I'd be happy with the overweight )

The jock can ride overweight at the discretion of the owner and or trainer but if he wins then the overweight will be taken into account when assesing the horse and the penalty could be heavy you could even pick up a winning penalty for running a place overweight.
Give everything but up!

i was told plus one kg overweight is the maximun he can ride

pirate I was told 1,5 kg ... can someone give us the CORRECT RULE HERE.... surely you can't ride any amount over even if the owner / trainer agrees.
