Neil Bruss back to KZN?

Hi there,

wondering if someone can shed some light on this - I saw an article on Formgrids about Neil Bruss apparently coming back to KZN after a short stint abroad. Is this true? Does he have boxes in Summerveld, or any information on his plans?

Thanks

Yes, I saw Paul Gadsby buying a few babies at the Michael Holmes Shongweni sale.

But cannot find more info on Neil being back other than the Formgrids news article

The lack of news or info available to the racing public is shocking, you either have to be in the game or get of your arse and find out for your self..

These things are all big news, but to the operators if there is not a PA 6 or Jackpot to promote its not worth reporting!!!

I believe Neil has been given boxes at Clairwood. He's a great trainer, it's wonderful to have him back.:)o

Found this on a UK website about SA record breaker HTD,this is what i mean.

Hear The Drums SA record bid set for June
By Michael Clower 1:22PM 28 APR 2010

South Africa: Win machine Hear The Drums is likely to wait until mid-June before making another attempt on the South African races-won record.

The seven-year-old equalled the 32-win record set by Screech Owl nearly 50 years ago when winning a Listed race at Fairview in March, but he was surprisingly beaten when starting at 7-20 in the Arlington Flying Five last Friday.

Trainer Des MacLachlan said on Wednesday:"The first race I can find for Hear The Drums is the Pinnacle Stakes over six furlongs at Fairview on 17 June and he will probably run in that."

Champion jockey Andrew Fortune rode Hear The Drums at Arlington last Friday and attempted to make every yard of the 5f.

But the favourite found nothing when tackled by 12-1 shot Tomcat in the closing stages and was beaten two and a half lengths.

MacLachlan said: "I don't like to make excuses but he took a little piece out of his near-fore joint in the race and didn't run up to his best.

"Fortunately no damage was done, and he is now sound and back to himself."
