You know I like me a little value, and even though I think The Domain will run well, I like Penny Lane in the 8th. As of right now you can get 7/1 which I think is a HUGE price.

In fact I believe Colin Scott could have quite a nice day with Dance of Mikey also having a bright chance.

Happy punting!

THE DOMAIN (Sean Tarry/Anton Marcus) has good Gauteng form, a third and a second from only two starts. Will be finding more late and the extra distance should suit. ODESSEY was unlucky when hampered with over 1900m at Greyville last time. May make amends. GOLDEN SLED has improved in his last two starts. May be hamstrung a bit by the extra distance. Only time will tell. Respect CAPTAIN UNIVERSE on slightly improved latest form. MODER ROYAL did not show over shorter last time. Has some nice form over similar distances.

SELECTION: 1st:- THE DOMAIN ** (12); 2nd:- ODESSEY (4); 3rd:- GOLDEN SLED (5)

HAWK'S EYE takes a slight drop in class. He has nice form and should in all likelihood be running on over the slightly shorter trip. RICH STRIKE (Mike De Kock/Kevin Shea) may be finding these distances a bit too far, but form is good enough for the placings. SECRET SYMBOL is C & D suited and should be a factor.TEST PILOT (Mike Bass) has gone "off the boil" in his last two starts, but had earlier better form. of the balance CAPTAIN SPIKE and FORT NOBLE can force their way into the placings.

SELECTION: 1st:- HAWK'S EYE ** (4); 2nd:- RICH STRIKE (2); 3rd:- SECRET SYMBOL (12)

DUTY FREE has won this C & D and will be running on. Top chance in this field. WHAT NEXT has raced against stronger and must not be ignored. DANCE WITH MIKEY ran a very good post maiden against slightly weaker. Has a chance if showing the natural progression. MONT D'OR has steady form but may need to find more for the win. BAY ROUTE faced stronger last time and was an unlucky finisher in his penultimate when baulked.

SELECTION: 1st:- DUTY FREE ** (4); 2nd:- WHAT NEXT (1); 3rd:- DANCE WITH MIKEY (7)

RICKY MY SON has the form as well as the ability this C & D to finish close to the front. He is speedy and could hold on. GORTAHAWK also has good form and over this C & D. One that should go close as well. KANAVARO is C & D suited but tends to fade late. OUR SMOKING JOE tends to weaken late but showed up well when wearing the blinkers last time. may prefer this distance. JUNGLE CALL must be respected with Anton Marcus riding. MODER EXPRESS does well this C & D and seldom runs a bad race.

SELECTION: 1st:- RICKY MY SON * (9); 2nd:- GORTAHAWK (6); 3rd:- KANAVARO (5)

TIRADE is unbeaten this track (3 from 3) and this C & D (2 from 2). Could be the one to beat despite some mediocre recent runs. ORIENTAL SPIRIT is holding form very well and has yet to run a bad race. He has only been out of the top three once in seven starts. Should fight this one out. MR MICKEY MOUSE is well suited to the distance and shows good pace. BURAGH returned from an eight month break last time. Will have come on with that run. KENTUCKY EXPRESS (Mike De Kock/Anthony Delpech) has some fair post maiden form and may improve.

SELECTION: 1st:- TIRADE ** (2); 2nd:- ORIENTAL SPIRIT (1); 3rd:- MR MICKEY MOUSE (10)

CABOUCHON showed very good improvement last time. Can go close despite the draw. Anthony Delpech rides. ARMANI CODE has been running on and has gone close in her last few. SHEIK THE WORLD enjoys this distance and has a good shout. BEAT THE WIND was running on strongly last time when showing very good improvement. Stable needs form return. NATIONAL NITE MARE is never too far back and she too will be running on late. DAWN CHORUS was running on over shorter last time.

SELECTION: 1st:- CABOUCHON * (6); 2nd:- ARMANI CODE (5); 3rd:- SHEIK THE WORLD (1)

Not convinced that the top few in betting in Race 7 will have race to themselves, think MASTER OF ALL with appie taking 4kg off is worth an ew bet @ 33/1.

The Domain looked very green but I long ago worked out that Gauteng winter maiden form is generally about as bad as it gets. Remember Dinar?
