Chindit, who bit William Buick for winning the Lockinge aboard Modern Games, will get a second bite at him and Modern Games at Royal Ascot next month.

O'Brien is still pinning his Derby hopes on Auguste Rodin who fired blanks in the 2000 Guineas.

Willie Mullins has two darts to fire as he aims to become the first Irish trainer to land the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris, France’s premier jumping race, since 1919, in Auteuil today.

I’ve never seen French jumping on TV but Auteuil offers three Gr1’s today. (I will always believe in miracles).

Tahiyra, the defeated hot fav in the English equivalent, is ā€œmore likely than notā€ to take her chance in the Tattersalls Irish 1,000 Guineas next Sunday.

Following disruptions by animal activists at the the Grand National, now the Epsom Derby might also be disrupted.

3rd place finisher in the English 2000 Guineas, Royal Scotsman, has been supplemented for the Irish equivalent this Saturday.

Vadeni, runner-up in the Arc, has also been supplemented at a cost of £45k for the Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh this Sunday.

Desert Crown will make his first run since winning the Derby in the Brigadier Gerard at Sandown tomorrow.

David Probert is set for a quick return to action having escaped serious injury when kicked at Windsor on Monday night.

The British Horseracing Authority will launch a new ā€˜premier tier’ of racing between 2-4pm on Saturday afternoons. Amongst other initiatives ā€˜Premier tier’ will have a schedule of the top races that will mitigate clashing of most English Premier League football matches.

The decision on whether to supplement Passenger for the Derby will be left late.

Sadly, Mary Slack’s Claymore ran a real shocker in Desert Crown’s race yesterday.
