That's one thing about Betfair you can always tell that an announcement is on the way with betting drifts and shortening.

I did notice the price on Allaho drift vs the money for Bravesmansgame but you snooze you lose 😓

All being well, Gold cup hero A Plus Tard will have the same campaign as last year, beginning in the Betfair Chase at Haydock on Saturday.

A new governance structure for British racing has been agreed by the sport’s leaders with the aim of allowing for the development and implementation of a new industry strategy to secure racing’s future. (It’s Greek to me).

It’s the Ā£600,000 Bahrain trophy on Friday.

Love this pic of McFabulous who won by nine yesterday and who is being aimed for the King George Boxing Day.

Constitution Hill, defender and current fav for next year’s Supreme Hurdle, looks carded for Ascot on Saturday. Although he hadn’t seen a hurdle since Chelt. last year Henderson said he ā€œjumped unbelievableā€ in his schooling session yesterday.

Gr1 Chelt. winners, Sir Gerhard and Vauban, look set to clash in Sunday’s seasonal first Gr1 in Punchestown.

After yesterday's fiasco at Ascot thought I would check today's options .

Punchestown looks best in Ireland

Delta Work evens is a class runner and should win opener.
State Man can also win again
Mullins can win the bumper

Cork also in Ireland

Irish Point looks cert in opener

Uttoxeter

Where the Changing Man is the banker.

Exeter

SA needs someone who is Borntobealeader can win again
Sabrina also looks good

Good Punting šŸ‘

'He's in mighty form' - King George is the aim for Envoi Allen (15 wins from 20 runs) on Boxing Day.

Unbeaten in 17, Honeysuckle is firmly on course for a record-breaking fourth win in the Hatton's Grace on Sun 4 Dec.

De Bromhead cannot find an obvious reason for the Gold Cup victor A Plus Tard’s dismal return to action last Saturday.

Very impressive Constitution Hill and 11 time winner Epatante have both been confirmed for the Fighting Fifth Hurdle on Sat 26 Nov (for now).

New rules disqualifying horses whose jockeys seriously breach whip guidelines will be enfirced in British jump racing from 6 February 2023.

Disqualifications will apply to riders who use four or more strikes above the permitted threshold. (I don’t understand this ā€œpermitted thresholdā€).

Similar rules will be introduced in Flat racing with penalties from 27 March.

…but will not affect betting outcomes on the day.

Jockeys must use the whip in the backhand position only, with acceptable use remaining at seven in a Flat race and eight in a jumps race. (Can someone clarufy this).

A minority of the steering group argued that the whip should be removed for encouragement, as is now the case in Scandinavia, but this was not adopted. (Mac supports this).

Look forward to seeing Constitution Hill in action.

The lure of a Grade 1 prize and the fact ground conditions are proving so unpredictable were enough to persuade Nicky Henderson on Wednesday to pitch two of his stable stars against each other in an explosive clash in Saturday's Betfair Fighting Fifth Hurdle (2.10).

After withdrawing Champion Hurdle favourite Constitution Hill from his intended reappearance in the Grade 2 Coral Hurdle at Ascot last Saturday due to drying ground, Henderson has taken the tricky decision to line up last season's wildly impressive Supreme Novices' Hurdle winner for a showdown with two-time Fighting Fifth winner Epatante at Newcastle.

Some of the NH superstars are starting to appear now.
On Saturday at Newbury I like the current favourite,CORACH RAMBLER in the Coral Gold Cup.This of course was the Hennesy Gold Cup in time gone by.]
Another favourite of mine THYME HILL won easily last time in first time over fences.
