Following Kennedy’s broken leg at the weekend jockey Davy Russell is temporarily coming out of retirement just over three weeks after quitting the saddle.

Last year’s Grand National winner, Noble Yeats, will throw his name into the hat for this year’s Gold Cup. Golden Miller and L’Escargot are the only two horses to have won both the Gold Cup and the Grand National.

Davy Russel the Irish jumps jockey has come out of retirement 4 weeks after he retired to help the trainer Elliot, the one who had a pic taken of himself sitting on a dead horse, as regular stable jock Kennedy broke his leg.

Both stablemates Minella Indo and A Plus Tard will head straight to the Gold Cup. In 2021 Minella won it with Tard 2nd. In 2022 the 1-2 result was reversed.

L’Homme Presse will probably miss the Gold Cup following a full vet inspection recently.
