We are in for some top class racing from Goodwood this week.

Here are some highlights.

Day one Tuesday 27th July

Vintage Stakes
Berkshire Shawdow vs Lusail should be a good contest with the Oisin Murphy mount preferred.

Lennox Stakes
Where Charlie Appleby has the race at his mercy with Space Blue and Creative Force both runners for the yard, let’s stick with the William Buick mount.

Goodwood Cup
Stradivarius can make it 5 wins in the race for the ever popular staying champ, only danger for Frankie is Hollie Doyle .

Wednesday we have the Sussex Stakes with Poetic Flare.
Thursday where Buick rides Audarya in the Nassau.
Friday we have Baaeed and the flying machine Battaash.
Saturday details to follow, but daily updates will be given.

R3 Goodwood-Creative Force gets a 7lb pull from SPACE BLUES but has only run over galloping tracks and may not handle the undulating switchback Goodwood track.

R4 Goodwood-The heavy rain will be against Stradivarious who shows up better on firmer ground and I think we may have seen the best of him.Softer ground will suit TRUESHAN.Spanish Mission could be dangerous.

Serpentine can lead, as we saw in the Derby, on this going and up the hill, they may not catch him especially with the Admiral on board

Going report for Goodwood is HEAVY.
The card is already cutting up with non runners in most races.

Good to listen to Ian Bartlett on tellytrack.
I just can't accept "again" that the presenter does not have betting for Goodwood.
I can't think of a bookie that does not have a show of betting?

WSB would be ideal .....🤔

John Gosden has revealed Stradivarius is not a guaranteed runner in the Al Shaqab Goodwood Cup (3.35), saying he plans to inspect the ground at Goodwood after Tuesday's opening race before making a decision on whether or not his star stayer will bid for a fifth victory in the Group 1.

We can punt Berkshire Shawdow at 17/10 as we await the fate of Stradivarius at 5/2 ish....

Jim Bolger is not fretting about the opposition, the ground or the 43 days in which Poetic Flare has been absent from racecourse action as he looks forward to unleashing his outstanding miler in the Qatar Sussex Stakes.
