CHELTENHAM DAY 3 AND 4 .
1 year 2 months ago
Good morning all as we attempt to survive day three.
What can I say about day two.
The punters were having a field day as the hotties 🔥 continued to arrive and then El FABIOLO spoilt the party .
It was looking like the bookies had reached the point of no return.
It was hard to say if it was a bookies day after a fantastic display from BALLYBURN and FACT TO FILE (now 7/2 for Gold Cup 2025) due to the short prices many punters took ATC,s so it was certainly a relief for the turf accountants to watch El Fabiolo being pulled up.
The highlight of the day was WIllie Mullins achievement of 100 festival winners by winning the Bumper with Jasmin De Vaux and it was a superb ride from his son at a very decent price to give the punters a good finish on the day.
The reason I have put day 3 and 4 together is that I will basically just be watching day three as a spectator and will only give some suggestions for the exotics and keep the kitty in tact for Gold Cup day.
I only have one bet today and have taken the Gordon Elliot double ( TEAHUPOO and BRIGHTERDAYSAHEAD) at just over 7/1
Day 3
Race 1
Mullins can again start the ball rolling with Facile Vega with Grey Dawn a danger in open race .
Race 2
This is very open and you will need a few in PA.
Race 3
Envoi Allen can give Rachael another winner but the race also has an open appearance.
Race 4
TEAHUPOO looks good, Paisley Park is a favourite of mine .
Race 5
Another open event for your exotics.
Race 6
BRIGHTERDAYSAHEAD could mean Friday but expect a big run.
Race 7
It’s either Inotherwayurthinkin as a banker or the field .
Day 4
Sir Gino is a superb price due to the stable being under a cloud with the scratching of a couple of stars.
I have no doubt GALOPIN DES CHAMPS will win the Gold Cup.
DINOBLUE also looks a blinder to end the festival on a high for the punters.
As far as the Jackpot and PA
I will confirm any scratching and post exotics on Friday .....
Here is Willie Mullins milestone of 100 festival winners, how cool was Patrick during the race 👏
Good Punting 👍

After first days disaster, I’m hoping to get out of it with
R2 CHANTRY HOUSE 28/1 e/w although been pushed out probably due to Henderson not on form
R5 JAMES DU BERLAIS 18/1 e/w
R7 DAILY PRESENT 10/1 win

Race 1: Nurburgring looks the one to beat for JP OBrien in the Novices Hurdle , will take some 8/1 and a cover on Mighty Bandit @ 25/1 , looked a nice horse on debut but flopped next time , will give this one another chance

Race 2: Magical Zoe @14/1 looks the right one for me in the County Handicap Hurdle , De Bromhead yard is firing , even with top weight Pied Piper is a big danger having been touched off last year with a similar weight

Race 3: Gidley Park is unbeaten and I can't see this one getting beat in the Novices Hurdle ,@ 6/1 this looks the bet of the day.
Will play a few Swingers with Lecky Watson who is being talked up by all in sundry

Race 4: Now the Gold Cup , Gallopin Des Champs is a brilliant jumper but I have been hearing Gerri Colombe all week from a few mates in the uk @ 10/1 , I will take the favourite on
This is gonna be one fascinating race to watch
