Hopeful as usual for our proteas chances. Proteafire seems to be a nice
initiative, bringing on the fans and public for support, let's hope the boys
can bring home the trophy!

Pirates, I would have included David Wiese, big hitting middle order batsmen and a decent bowler with good change up's. Can get 10 overs out of him easily. Would have preferred him to either of Berhadien and Parnell.

@Shrek...Agree totally...hoping one of our passengers gets injured and David Wiese on standby...will certainly make a bigger contribution than Behardien with bat OR Parnell with ball...

Didn't Cronje take over the captaincy in 1994 ?? Was on a tour to Pakistan (back when teams could go to Pakistan) ??...They ONLY choke in knock-out matches...very good most other times...our weakness is chasing so we had better hope that we win all tosses in the knockout phase and bat first...

Plenty of other players around the world were fixing matches around that time. Cronjes biggest mistake was that he got caught.

England have just hammered the West Indies by 9 wickets. Puts the SA thrashing of the West Indies into prespective.

SA are in such a week group, that they will advance unbeaten
New Zealand and Australia is the cruncher, they are the 2 teams to beat imo
India are looking terrible and I will trying to beat them in most of there matches

a weak group? India are the world champions, something that SA only can aspire too. Pakistan will come alive and give anybody a game. West Indies, depending if Gayle is over his batting slump can surprise.
