Our middle order showed true character from 83/4 both got over 100 runs. At this rate we got more good games to come. Well done JP and Miller.

I cannot see us doing the same if we bat second...the pressure is different and they (middle-order) are likely to have to score at 6+ runs an over from the start...very very hard to do over an extended period if top order fails (again)...
Also, Zimbabwe didn't have anyone to take that next wicket or contain in the middle overs and that enabled Duminy and Miller to settle in then take full advantage later...
I repeat...we could well win the tournament but require batting first on all the important occasions...just cannot see us winning more than one knock-out match if we are chasing...

SA bowling attack is as weak as a cup of tea where the bag was removed before the cup was filled from the kettle. Zimbabwe to knock off the runs with ease

Agree with you TN. Chicken that guy batting for Zim is called Hamilton and this ground is named the same - lucky charm for Zim.

We will not make the semi-finals unless we make serious improvement . Behardien is a complete passenger . How on earth is a player like this selected to represent SA and you leave a player like Ryan Maclaren and others behind . He will be smashed to all parts of Australasia

10 years 3 months agocorrect either play an extra bowler or batter in his place ...rousow or abbot...we miss a quality allrounder like kallis badly..zim were 1 wicket away from winning this game ...aluminium wrote: We will not make the semi-finals unless we make serious improvement . Tahir looks very impressive and the longer the tournament goes on the more wickets he will pick up. I am taking a bold prediction here, Tahir will pick up at the very least 25 wickets.
