At this stage the quarter finals look like

SA v Sri Lanka in Sydney
India v Bangladesh at the MCG
Australia v Pakistan or Ireland at Adelaide
NZ v WI or Ireland at Wellington

Looking forward to see if the SA bowlers can get it right v Sri Lanka for if not then its curtains.

I don't think that the Associate teams should be in a World Cup but as a SA supporter, I am grateful they were as they enabled us to qualify for knock-out stages...won 1, lost 2 against other Full member teams...not impressive at all...

iv never seen a sports team that's got the fear of failure in there eyes like the proteas..they seem like they actually hating being out there on the field..the article on cricinfo is correct they need to approach it as it was a bilateral tournament each match and not a matter of life and death..Australia look extremely hard to beat they have every base covered bar a top spinner but they have incredible depth with batting and bowling options

I am sticking my head out here but for me Pakistan are still playing in 2nd gear. They will get better from now on and they will go on and win the trophy. :dry:

If the rain does not stop in the Australian/Scotland game, South Africa is going to verse Australia in the quarter final :ohmy:

Australia were in a real hurry to finish that off. Why I don't know because playing SA in the quarters will be far easier than facing up to Pakistan. SA world cup comes to an end on Wednesday.

Taken a month and a half to get to the point where quarter-finalists are pretty much as expected...

No great shock that England out and Bangladesh in...current England team and coaches are clueless on how to play (any form of) cricket...play limited overs cricket at the pace other teams play test cricket and play test cricket like timeless tests are still happening...no urgency, no attacking instincts...just playing for place in team rather than for team...

I think I will now watch a full match as there are only 7 to go and anyone can have a good day such that form and past results mean nothing...

If SA chase, we need to change batting order but we are likelier to see JZ resign than SA changing systems and structure and processes...whatever that means...if we bat first, we are likely to get through to the semi-final and then hope that we bat first again...never has the toss proved so crucial to a team's chances as they do with SA...

Enjoy...going to be a great final two weeks...

Pakistan putting the squeeze on Ireland and likely to bowl them out...could be chasing about 230 and will get it...

I want to have a bet on a tie. The bookies have not priced up a tie which will then allow both Pakistan and Ireland through to the quarter finals. Chasing 238 the Pakistanis are just blocking at 4/0 after 3 overs
