For SA to win, they must bat first. When chasing in these knock-out stages, once things go awry early in the (chasing) innings, then doubt, demons and all other nasty things set in, and it's tears before bed-time.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

If we bat first, I'll watch first ball till last...if we field first, I'm going to the nearest pub as early as it opens to drown my sorrows before the inevitable...

Slinger Malinga with the ball, I was at the World Cup in the Caribbean when he took 4 wickets with 4 balls v Proteas so they will have a mental block when he comes u to bowl.
Dilshan now reaching his top form, Sangakarra 4 tons in a row and Jayawardene over due for a big score.
SA will be back in SA before the conclusion of the final quarter final match

Always thought that Sri Lanka's own conditions don't suit their batsmen, seen a few teams travel there and win series lately, including SA, those are slow and low wickets, these Australian conditions are perfect, pace and bounce, Sanga, Jaya and Dilshan will flick you off their hips and cut u away all day long.. I say sacrifice a seamer and throw in an extra batsman, SA won't contain them with pace and they haven't got the variation so rather make it up with the bat.. Imran will need to bowl well.. AB, Miller will face decent death bowlers, thinkers, not the zimbabwe, ireland and Jonathan Holders' of this world.. SA can't chase and Sri Lanka are probably the one of the best chasers in world cricket.. Uphill task for SA imo..
When you running with the big dogs, u can't piss like a puppy..

The best pair of opening bowlers in the modern era has to have been Wasim and Waquar.
Welsh and Ambrose not far behind. Donald and Pollock up there. Australia did not have a great 2nd fast bowler to pair up with McGrath and the same could be said of the Kiwi Shane Bond. Vaas was another brilliant bowler. Today we Steyn, Johnson, Starc and Morkel. No other team has a bowler who can bowl quicker. Pity as the game is all about scoring a big runs nowadays.
Warne and Murilitheran a story for another day as those two were just brilliant
