You mean 40 don't you? SA cant play spin, never have and never will as they are obsessed with quick bowlers. SA need a specialist coach to coach spinners. The more good spinners playing the better the batsman will become in facing spin. I don't think SA ever have had a world class spinner since 1990.

Paul Harris was WORLD CLASS... I have never seen a international spinner turn it as straight as him.... :whistle:

79 all out. Pathetic wicket but this is what you get when a country, India, have all the say in world cricket. SA must prepare the greenest of tops when they next tour SA. Nothing will be done and no fines imposed on ICB This is not test cricket.

Agree with you... Think it was HD Ackermann on Supersport that summed it up quite well IMO. The negetive impact games like this have on cricket in whole. The sponsors pay huge sums of money for advertising, but they pretty much getting half the airtime. The revenue received from feet in the stadium will suffer, as matches are scheduled for what is meant to be the 2 best days (day 4+5) on the weekend when people aren't working, yet the games are over by Friday...


As for the Protea's, I have never seen a side select a player as a Night watchman in my life... That is basically why Tahir was selected... Why o why they did not select Piedt, head and shoulders above these 2 spinners we have in the starting line up... Tahir selected in all 3 tests, hardly had a bowl...

20 over cricket has destroyed test cricket. The authorities think that the public have fallen out of love with test cricket and that the public just want action with quick results. Wrong. The proper cricket anorak loves 5 day cricket where bat and bowl have an equal chance.

You correct re loss of revenue etc but as in all walks of life the rule makers don't give a toss as it does not really affect them.

Amla messed up big time by only bringing Tahir into bowl now. Should have opened with him has 2 wickets in 4 overs now

Why was the night watchman given a chance to bowl earlier... Yes he might go for a boundry or 2 every few overs, but in my book, I would rather have 10 overs 45/4, than 10 overs 15/0....

Exactly, you don't want to open with him, cause he leaks to many runs.. Then bring him on when the game is gone, and he is cleaning up... WTF... We could be in the tail if he had opened, and he bowled like this...

Can't see SA getting close, as you said yesterday, this match over on day 3
