Well done to the Proteas on beating Australia in the first test match.Hope they beat them in the 2nd test as well and secure another test series victory in Australia.

Uncapped allrounder Dwaine Pretorius has been named as Dale Steyn's replacement for the remaining Tests in Australia. South Africa needed the reinforcement because Steyn broke his shoulder while bowling on the first day of the Perth Test; he bowled only 12.4 overs in the match and was ruled out of the series.

Pretorius, 27, represents the Lions franchise in domestic cricket in South Africa and made his ODI debut in September, playing three matches against Ireland and Australia. He has played 36 first-class matches and taken 115 wickets at an average of 22.27. He also has 1963 first-class runs at an average of 43.62 with four centuries.

In the first three rounds of the ongoing Sunfoil Series, South Africa's first-class competition, Pretorius made scores of 87, 80, 97, 28 and 72. He also took 6 for 81 in an innings, against Warriors.

Despite losing Steyn - he is expected to be sidelined for around six months - South Africa were able to win the Perth Test by 177 runs, bowling Australia out twice with a three-man attack comprising fast bowlers Vernon Philander and Kagiso Rabada, and debutant left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj. South Africa have Kyle Abbott and Morne Morkel, who was not 100% for the first Test, in the squad as well and they will now be joined by Pretorius.

well done to the team im knackered as i havent missed a ball..one of the greatest test wins ever considering where they were after day one and great to see the youngsters put up their hand ..

If Morkel does not staart in Hobart then he might as well retire from test cricket as then he will never play for the Proteas again as he will be 5th in line for a fast bowling spot. I would play Abbott on that pitch as it will suit him to a tee.

dont think they will take a chance with him as they cant have him breaking down ..maharaj did a superb job but would love to see shamzi given a run as he will take you 5 wickets in the second innings..

i think that at last the Proteas have a spinner that will stay in the side as he can bat as well. Shamzi looks a very good bowler as well and maybe with all these good spinners coming through PE could become the spinners ground like it used to be.

Cheers Country . After his performance against the spinners on a tough Bangladesh wicket (much harder up front with the hard ball) he really looked good to me, and Englands best batsmen against spin, Root, is a rad out of touch. I really cant see him being best overall though. Kohli and Rahane should be fighting out that battle.

Cook if England bat first as the wicket will be good on the first day. Buttler will also score runs, really like him

Come on India, what you doing to me letting England scoring all these runs, as if my day has not started badly enough with the US election result.
