Cricket season

Sydney Thunder bowled all out for 15 in the Big Bash for the lowest Total ever in a Mens T20.

I have seen some pretty low scores in the 20s and 30s but these countries are not cricketing nations or associate nations. Pretty embarrassing for professionals earning a ton of money.

On another note start of the first Test Match between Australia and South Africa tomorrow 17 December 2022.

Hopefully we bat first.

The loadshedding will make things difficult watching

Oh dear. South Africa bowlded out for 152 after Australia won the toss and asked them to bat. The Aussies sure know how to make a green top. Against West Indies, Australia opted to bat first.

The pitch was too green. Heavily favoured the bowlers. In the end Travis Head innings was the game changer.

Our batting is weak but we can definitely improve. Zondo batted alot of balls in the second innings and Verreynne played well in the first. The top order needs to survive much more overs. They exposing the likes of Van Dussen

Got to agree - trying to be positive, Verreynne is coming to the party as a good wk/batsmen - and Nortje bowled as well as can be expected - for the rest, I would not be shocked to see the Windies give us a real go next year - and for some reason, currently only 3 tests have been scheduled for 2023 :huh:

So about 7-8 days of actual test cricket next year?? Just worried that Rabada may be lost to test cricket...getting worked too hard leading the bowling (who are not the problem) in the face of really poor totals by the batsmen and a lot of strain in his career so far...would be a very sad loss of a great bowler...

Elgar is mister talk talk. The last time he scored a ton was when there were batsman in the team that tired out opponents by batting long. Time to pack it in as he is full of excuses

VD Dussen and Markram must be so shite if they can’t make this side

Bavuma bats well once in 10 knocks then like today gives away his wicket

Zondya how is he an international cricketer

Verryane gusty little player will have a long career in the test team

Jansen looks ok but should smile more which will relax him and will then perform better

Maharaj is he the best spinner in SA. For my money there are 10 better spinners living in the same road as he does

Nortje a fighter

Rabada world class but has been off lately

Ngidi give him thumbs up for trying but not a test bowler

All of the coaches are stealing a living as the team are not improving.

Surely there are 3/4 better batsman in SA than those that are embarrassing themselves atm

Dismal performance by South Africa. Time for new blood in regards to the batters.

Klaasen was in top form in the domestic competition but never get picked in the last two tests. They went for de Bruyn who sadly can be a good county and domestic player but at international level he has failed numerous times. Hopefully Klaasen gets a game in the last test.

Rickleton should come in for Zondo when fit again.

Janneman Malan should get a run in my opinion.

His brother Pieter could be an option to open and has played for South Africa.

When you think of Smith,Kirsten,Amla,AB,Kallis,etc then how can this teams batsmen begin to compare.
The bowlers need credit but continuous low scoring defeats in 2 to 4 days
begins to make you lose motivation.
This side is seriously short of time in the middle and the prospects next year
don't look to good.
