Lets see what happens when United play Chelsea and Arsenal. Even Burnley and Palace have beaten Man City this season and Arsenal thrashed Liverpool, so no great shakes.

Fair question Bob, shame the usual suspects have to try and turn it into another Man U thread... most of what they are quipping about I have already mentioned on the Manchester Derby thread anyway. Why they can't just agree with me there is beyond me. Oh, of course, that just isn't the "done thing" when discussing football on this forum now is it lol if there isn't a quirp or a thinly disguised insult involved it simply shouldn't be said! lol

The L**** situation is quite interesting to me, they seemed to have overcome their major issues and be playing some decent stuff, by current EPL standards, with Sterling through the middle. The return of Sturridge seemed to throw a spanner in the works and they have slumped again. Seems he has the players and the system to be at least semi-decent but he is struggling to get his best players working in that system.

City looking a bit old to me, need a few younger legs but then he left Nasri on the bench. Rumours of some dressing room discontent. Likely imo they will get a new manager and splash even more cash and a few of the seasoned pros will be on their way. The sharp decline in Kompany's form is a huge contributory factor imo.

You can also throw Ski into the pot too for me, I was really quite impressed with them early season, albeit a little negative given the players they have, but they have gone completely awol imo as an attractive team to watch and are now very much in that old catchphrase realm of picking up the points when not playing well. No clue why unless Moreno just decided to implement a more negative system.

Still think that plenty of the Premiership winners over the last 20 odd years would walk the current league, big drop in standards imo in the last 5 or so years.

Englander why cant we bring Man United into the conversation. The thread header had a go at City and Liverpool. Man United have not been good at all this season and that's by your own admission, If you care to read my posts regarding Man United you will have begun to learn that I know longer show vitriol toward them as I believe since Ferguson has left its now a level playing field as far as the refs go. No more biase shown toward them and when they play well and win well like yesterday I applaud them. Next season it will be back to Arsenal and Man United fighting for the title.

Cos there are plenty other threads where United are discussed and last few games we have been (SEEMINGLY! lol) going one way while City n L*** have been going the other, think this thread is about teams in a slump at the moment. Add Spurs if you want.

Dave, an esteemed fellow clanner mentioned to me that calling them that may be offensive to some, I therefore have subsequently refrained from doing so. I don't think it matters how I write their name though, I am sure most have come to the understanding that I have an utter hatred for that club... even so, it does not stop me complimenting their manager or team when I think it is merited.
