@cnc...I had taken a multiple with one leg being that "No team would score /only one would score" in the Liverpool / Newcastle match...I was throwing away the ticket as that was certainly a penalty that would have made it 1-1...and then the referee decides against it...very very very poor decision as he had full sight of the incident, the assistant had full sight of the kick and it was clearly inside the box...

Another in a long list of home-town decisions...

I still think of those 2 girls,Sarah and Victoria Hicks,both teenagers getting crushed in one pen while there dad is in the pen next to it trying to get them out to no avail.
I've read some of the Taylor report and the police were shocking in there control of that game and the cover up was disgusting.
I'm afraid at the time the rest of the world believed the shit that was written by the UK press,particularly the Sun newspaper.

Dave, there is a huge difference between "blame" and "blameless".

Don't get me started on this one because I feel very strongly about it. And it has nothing to do with club bias, that was a terrible, tragic day. But, if you really want to see me wound up, then put an LFC "fan" in front of me who blames everyone else for that tragic day and think the supporters did no wrong.

The cover-up was shameful but, it should not come in to the analysis of what happened on that terrible day.

Let's not go there.

Tell me another set of fans who wouldn't have gone in those pens when that dipstick Duckenfield opened up those gates,it could have been United,Chelsea or Accrington Stanley and the result would have been the same.Ive been in that end and you have to go up some stairs to enter any of those pens,you can't see whats going on in front of you.when they opened up the gate,the entrance to those already full pens were not being manned,so they rushed up the stairs to the pens that were nearest that gate.The other half empty pens were furthest from those gates.If they had stewards or coppers across the entrance to those full pens and ushered fans further along it would have stopped the carnage.
The players came out to warm up and the noise from fans inside filtered down to those waiting to get in,also there was only one turnstile open(beggars belief)
Your kidding yourself if you don't think your hatred for Liverpool is paramount to your views and to be honest you saying "it was a terrible tragic day" Carries no compassion in my eyes.
Try reading the Taylor Report and it might change your views a bit.

As I said, my views have nothing to do with my hatred of Liverpool Football Club and I am hugely disappointed you think I am so shallow as to think human life so "cheap" as to let such a "petty" thing influence my views on such a sad event. I watched the screens that day with the same sense of horror and sadness as no doubt 99% plus of those that witnessed it. Don't be so farking arrogant as to assume you know someone else's thoughts and feelings on such a tragic event. Take your petty false accusations to someone else's door step, they have no place on mine. Better still, just get rid of them altogether.

I've only accused you of what you have admitted to,hating Liverpool FC because some thugs threw some pebbles at a coach you was on,nothing to do with the fact you support Man United and have built up a lifelong loathing of your bitterest rivals.

A Man U fan and a Chelsea fan having a pop at each other. The match is only on Saturday boys. What happened on that fateful day in Sheffield was terrible and yes people have to take responsibility for what happened and justice must be served. But those 96 people died so we should respect them and not resort to insults etc. Man United fans and Liverpool fans should put their differances behind them, join hands and move forward together. On the field I have no problem with the banter and the rivalry but off it you should be friends. Englander, Greg, Deeno, Bob hold out your hands to the Liverpool fans of the forum like Craig P , Sheeza Punter and embrace each other. Let it start here and let it start now. Enough of the insults and accusations. Move on in peace with each other. The entire football world mourned that day, no matter what club they supported.

Your "facts" and assumptions etc about the private message (well, it was private anyway) are inaccurate/incomplete, I did not say I wanted an LFC fan in front of me in the earlier post and all your presumptions about me and my feelings that you have stated on this thread are all totally inaccurate (as well as continuing in their offensive and insulting tones).

How you could think that someone would let their hatred of a club influence their feelings on the deaths of innocents is mind-boggling and very sad in truth.
