Brentford really surprising everybody. Two excellent forwards who work the whole time. A good tough win for Arsenal over Burnley who are never easy to beat. Poor Norwich looks like this season will be very difficult for them no a yo-yo club like West Brom and Fulham. Liverpool looking impressive while Man City appear to be chopping and changing the line up every week. It’s going to be a hard slog for them to retain the title.

Villas new signing,Bailey, looks very good. Came on as a sub made a goal, scored a goal, had his name taken and went off injured all in 20 minutes. Watford also doing well with some very good new signings

Looking forward to today’s matches. Leicester will find Brighton hard to break down, best West Ham are capable of beating Man United and Chelsea will have a training session against Tottenham

And of course Lingard shows that I'd better shut up about football - very good goal - and how Renaldo being brought down does not even get referred to VAR (but Shaw's handball does) I can't understand - justice served in the end when the West Ham penalty (not the greatest attempt imo) got saved - United deserved winners :)

Just because the game does not stop Frodo does not mean VAR are not looking at the incident Every single penalty appeal they look at. They only stop the game when the ref awards the penalty otherwise the game goes on and if VAR believe that the ref is incorrect they inform him to stop the game and either award the penalty or go to the screen and watch it for himself. Shaws handball wad a hand ball and the correct call Ronaldos claims were all soft and were not penalties. VAR are at last doing a very good job, yesterday both Man City and Arsenal had penalties awarded by the ref against them but VAR intervened.

i aged a few months when Shaw gave away a penalty. The right substitution then would have been to bring Heaton on, cause De Gea dont save penalties.

But luckily poor penalty by West ham.

Brighton top 4 spot. Have not watched any of their games but beating Leicester good result

  all united fans aged a bit extra yesterday, thanks to Shaw. A defender of his calibre should know better than to have his arms extended like that. Fair penalty.

United were robbed of clear cut penalties, IMO.

Thanks... let's agree to disagree re the first Renaldo incident ... for me I have rarely seen more clear-cut cases of a penalty ... the defender stuck out a leg, made contact with Renaldo who went down... clear penalty imo ... so I think VAR not nearly perfect

Frodo in his first spell at MU Ronaldo was a known diver. Refs and VAR are well aware of that and they don’t want to fall for his tricks again and besides there is no Ferguson growling at them. So for Ronaldo to be given a penalty both ref and VAR have to be 100% certain. He brought it on himself.

This weekends games highlights Var at its best and its worst
Best
Ramsdale brings down burnley player closer examination clearly got the ball first then player
Worst
Soufal brings downs Ronaldo wasn't given
This can be looked at 2 ways Soufal catches Ronaldo clearly but does Ronaldo initiate contact by his leg first? Very debatable
Lastly if ever I saw poor decision by a manager is bringing on stone cold player Noble to take penalty shocking really how does west ham captain Rice not intervene and take penalty himself I've seen him take penalties and he is good.
Forget Nobles history of penalties high pressure moment 95th min of game u not up to speed of game sitting on bench and asked to come in and take penalty.
Moyes said in media wid stand by his decision but really poor in my opinion
Chelsea train just rolls on I'm not a Chelsea supporter but definitely looks like they will win the league

Liverpool and Chelsea streets better than the rest , Ronaldo constant diving has caught up with him and will hopefully lead to him actually trying to score which he is brilliant at doing

If i was a manager for a football team i would hire a special coach to train players to keep the ball down when taking long range shots. Most of these shots go sailing over the post into the clouds. Some even put them over from 3 yards.
