in the driving pouring rain the Stormers did the job. If the Sharks had to play in the rain they would not be happy as the bleach on the hair would run, the well oiled hair would look like dishwashing water, the spray tan would be running off. We did the job, 4 points away from home. (well not really as there are about 50 thousand dutchman living in Perth)

I was listening to past new zealand greats this morning, and they were saying the Sharks team that won last night was the best performance they had ever seen with an injury struck team. They mentioned that they (Nz)are really worried about facing the sharks in the playoffs and that they would much rather face the stormers in sa than the sharks in nz.

Can't agree with that, the Cheetahs were clueless and if I were their management I'd look for a new coach - how many times did Blommetjies try the same kick-off - and it just seemed to me that there was no structure in their play - imo the Sharks were not that great and the sooner they get rid of April and Coenie Oosthuizen (have to agree with Mallet that the ref needs to get his eyes check - how much does a guy have to 'scrum in' before he notices) the better off they will be - next week might be the ideal opportunity to give young Bosch a chance at fly-half should Lambie still be unavailable.

Not that I think the Stormers are that much better than the Sharks - especially the backs do not inspire any confidence - neither the Sharks or the Stormers has a hope against the Kiwi teams whether in SA or in NZ

Quarter-final line-up:

Friday, July 22

Brumbies v Highlanders, Canberra - 10:00

Saturday, July 23

Hurricanes v Sharks, Wellington - 09:35

Lions v Crusaders, Johannesburg - 16:30

Stormers v Chiefs, Cape Town - 19:00.

Pity that it has come down to the two best sides in the tournament playing each other in a quarter in Wellington. Plumtree must be bouncing in his boots, wondering why he got the short stick of the draw when Hurricanes finished ontop. Lions v Crusaders should also be a good game to watch with some good running rugby. The other 2 quarters should see the Nz sides posting cricket scores..

Sharks are going to hammered, waste of airfares, hotel costs, waste of time as they might as well stay in Durban and go to the races

Stormers will defend most of the match and still sneak a win

Lions will run the Crusaders raggerd

Sharks ar like Chelsea, full of posers and slow old men

Some neutral viewpoints on the quarter final games
Highlanders to beat Brumbies by 4 away from home
Sharks have been getting better every week and will beat Hurricanes by 6 :woohoo:
Lions vs Crusaders is the game of the round, Crusaders by 5 for me
Chiefs by15 , Stormers have been the playing woeful rugby and I'm afraid this is the end of the road for them

CnC, why did the Lions take a sub strength side overseas last night? Thy didn't want to win and play the Sharks! Better to lose without the bonus point and play the Crusaders. At least they will get through to the next round then. :P

The resurrection of the Craig twins  and only because their team are in the play offs. Hurricanes will have the match won in the first 30 minutes

  To be honest CnC, if we play like we did on Friday night, it should only take them about 15mins! Hopefully Pat will be back and make it more of a game. :)
