I don't know why but I fancy Mina Salaam in race . I think she is going to improve 10 lengths at least from her first start!!!!!
Also fancy worood to win her race. Perhaps Kom Naidoo can have a double with Furious Dancer and Napoleon Dynamite?
Happy punting!

Worood looks the part, although who knows how good Vestal Virgin is on the sand - her maiden win was very impressive. Mahogany also looks the part. There's no real e/w shrewdy that I like today although I think that Iron Curtain may have become the "forgotten" horse of the big race. At the weights he cannot be without a squeak.

Hundreds of gusts having their first racing experience.....must be impressed with the starts lol.
Why declare a false start for one problematic horse that was already delaying the start?

Rob you can't be serious?
I can guarantee that if you had had your money on the horse that happened to be impeded at the start, and a false start wasn't declared, you'd be the 1st to post on how unjustified the actions of the starter were!
Next time you go racing i suggest you make your way down to the start of a race, that is if you haven't already been, and you'll understand that its not just a case of loading the runners and pushing the button to open the gates. Horses get agitated and become fractious in the stalls, jockeys are screaming. The starter is under pressure to ensure all the runners are "ready" and that they get an even and fair break, and this wasn't the case in the 1st thus he saw fit to declare a false start.
You've been around long enough to understand how the loading process works. Horses are graded according to their behaviour at the start and some horses need extra assistance when loading. Owners, including you, are spending thousands of rands on their horse/s a month to see them race, not to see them scratched at the start. Re-schooling doesn't mean they'll walk in unassisted.
We should be praising the handlers for successfully succeeding in loading the problematic horse and the starter for doing his job correctly....on this occasion, lol.
