Manighar is massively overpriced at 40/1. Its wearing 1st time blinkers which ive said its needed for a while. It finished 7th last year and had a bad draw 20/23..Damian Oliver rides and its really well..You have been told, take the 40s ew

Latest news and stories in bold for the Melbourne Cup:
NIWOT-16/1- a son of Galileo - an impressive winner of today's (Sat 29/10!!) Lexus. Now a winner without a penalty and carrying 51kg. Trained by John Hawkes. Only one of two locally bred. The other is The Verminator Money floods in for Niwot from $100, now $10, might even start 2nd favourite.
DUNADEN – 7/1 - French trained 2nd fav; like Americain last year, was an easy winner in the Geelong Cup last month; Delzangles the trainer "Dunaden has beaten Americain every time". (Not sure how many times though.) It seems that the current riding engagements may have to change following a disciplinary to the original jock. Craig Williams loses his appeal as well as his chance of becoming the first jockey to land the treble of the Caulfield, Cox and Melbourne. He will be replaced by Frenchman Christophe Lemaire. Price drifts to 17/2
JUKEBOX JURY -8/1- A European horse unraced in Australia and has better form than Americain. ?? (not exactly sure of what is "better form" . A front running grey destroyed many rivals including Americain, Dunaden in France and deadheated in the Irish St. Leger. Trained by Mark Johnston. Somewhere attached is a photo of Jukebox Jury, courtesy of Jason South
GLASS HARMONIUM -20/1- an impressive winner by making every post a winning one in todays (!!) Mackinnon Stakes. Has never won beyond 2200m. He has booked his place in the final field but the connections are not sure about going for it. He’s in. A grey and ridden by redhead jockette.
