I believe an an announcement about Ibsaar was made from the Tellytrack studio before the first race. I guess that;'s not much help, with many betting shops muting their TVs and most punters having evolved the ability to shut out the yapping when the sound is on.
<
In terms of the conditions of the race Ibsaar should have been weighted off his net merit rating but was incorrectly weighted according to his gross MR instead. In other words, he should have got his WFA allowance, but didn't.

Got to wonder how something like this can happen - are the weights allocated by a computer program, in which case perhaps Ibsaar was not recorded as a 3 yr old - is there no-one that checks this sort of thing - or is he/she on leave?
Our own Laurel Canyon is also shown on TABGOLD cards as being a 5 yr old (in fact she is 4) - how many other 'little mistakes' ae going unnoticed?

Racing is like a sausage factory. You don't want to know what goes on behind the scenes, sometimes.
