Fields are great for some serious punting.8-10 runners and 3 places. These are the fields that the bookies hate.
I will be doing ew doubles and trebles.

Work in progress Pirates. These small fields are useless and are unnecessary ...Saturday is even worse !
Today I am suggesting a small P/A to be taken a couple of times: 1 /5 /1.4 / 2.6 / 1.3 / 2.3 / 2.7 R32 .00
Jean's Pride in race 5 needs to be considered as an E/W chance @ a big price.

Enjoy.

Can somebody please explain to me how a horse that has not won it's Maiden can run in a MR Handicap? I am confused, this is the second time I see this. Horse in question, Race 4 Number 8 Golden Flute.

At a quick glance I like Oratius, Genteel Approach and Cash Counter, but I've not really studied. As Hibs said, I was at the Shongweni sale when this book was done. It looks like pretty drab stuff, to be honest, but there always has to be a winner...:D

Rose Loraine
Arboreal

2 HORSES that seem C&D specialists.... Important factor to consider at Durbanville imo...

Use it, don't use it....(:P)

Why shouldn't they? If they've run at least 3 times to qualify for a merit rating, there's nothing to stop them running in handicaps. In the UK and elsewhere in Europe maidens run in handicaps every day, and often win them.

Kc any horse that has a merit rating can run in a handicap . It does not need to win a maiden to run in a handicap . This has happened plenty times in the past but sadly not enough . It could be that some/most trainers still think they need to win a maiden race before they can race their horses in handicap races ?

Karl seems to have the best rides so maybe a suggested double / treble :
Oratius / Aconcagua onto Ice Goddess . Cover your money with ATC fixed places.
