Under Chelsea's new manager Torres would have averaged 2.7 goals per manager! (

Doesn't seem to affect the trophy cabinet, the only reason Chelsea won the CL was because of Abramovichs ruthless streak.
They have had 7coaches in 10 seasons and in that time have won 8 major trophies.
I would rather be that way then teams like Arsenal who have won nothing by being faithful to their manager.
I like De Matteo, but anyone who continually picks David Luiz and Torres(apart from last night) is not seeing the big picture.
When you are playing with 9 men and 2 useless posers you will get found out by the decent teams.
We were to gung ho in games

Dave, I have already said I understand the reasoning this time, however harsh it may seem but...
1. How you get the impression Chelski have been too gung ho in the last 6 months I have no idea, they may have played a couple of attractive football games this season but they have frequently played with only one striker and been extremely boring to watch over the past year imho (not necessarily di M's fault)
2. Saying you only won the CL because of Abramovich's ruthless streak is very very harsh on both Miss Lady Luck and Mr Di Matteo and very very complimentary to Mr A
3. If Arsene Wenger (or a couple of the bosses you've had there) had been manager of Chelski for the past 10 seasons I think they probably would have won more than 8 major trophies in that time... with 4 of those won being the FA Cup, which I doubt very much that Mr A truly considers to be a "major" title.
4. Di Matteo won two of those 8 titles in 6 months... an average of 4 per year. The Chosen One won 3 in 3 years... an average of one per year.
5. Although the recent years (7) have been barren, in that same time period Arsenal have actually won 3 major trophies (add one season and it would be 5), not bad for a club with a small percentage of the hands-on cash available to Chelski. The power of money should of course not be underestimated, it makes a big difference when you go from a club able to afford Tommy Langley to one able to afford Didier Drogba etc and with Shity now in a similar position it is surely not so strange that the likes of Arsenal, irrespective of the number of managers they may have had, now find it much more difficult to add to their trophy cabinet.

One more thing... sorry
Torres...
Although he did not have the best last season at Lpool, I have to say firstly that I thought he was an absolutely brilliant striker (if only cos he is the only player I have seen make Vidic look decidedly average) and perhaps still could be given a different system.
However, I would agree that much of Chelski's difficulties in recent years seem to have centred around him and he has never seemed to fit in there. It is generally accepted that Torres was Mr A's signing and the then manager, Carlos A, was none too keen. I believe his signing was the catalyst for CA's demise and that previous to that, it looked as though he might do well. I would not be surprised if Mr A still applies pressure to his managers where Torres is concerned. Consequently, it can be reasonably argued, that much of Chelski's current troubles are surely down to Mr A himself.
And is it more than coincidence that (di Matteo is sacked the day after leaving Torres out of the team in Juventus and) the man who first brought Torres to the UK and under whom he starred is their new interim manager? Personally I don't see many qualities in Rafa as a Premiership manager and I suspect Mr A is still looking for someone to rescue him from his stupidity in interfering with team personnel.

Too bad Mr A doesnt chop his players like he does his managers - Torres would be gone and Luiz
IMHO they should get rid of the entire Chelsea front row - Fernando T and Daniel S
Cahill should be the set starter in the centre with JT

If you think Chelsea would have won the CL with AVB you are madder than Jonny Rotten,so your number 2 is a number 2.
As for the gung ho comment,we have 3 super talented midfield stroke forwards who when we don't have the ball are not
inclined to get it back.ie Matta,Hazard and Oscar and if watch a Chelsea game with those 3 and that tosser up front you
will see how far forward they are when we lose the ball, fine against weak teams but not against good sides.
Who would want Wenger as your manager, the guy doesn't spend the cash available to him,any forward thinking coach would
realise the game has moved on and to stay with the top sides you have to spend.
And another thing Engles you are starting to sound really jealous about the money being spent by other teams apart from yourselves,
it wasn't that long ago when you were the big spenders in The Premier League.

Regarding Chelski, you know better than I mate so shall bow to your superior knowledge with the wee proviso that the games I have seen over the last 12 months have generally bored me senseless (as have a few United games!) If you had told me Chelski would win the CL under di Matteo I would have said you were madder than Jonny n Sid put together! After all, your number 2 is your number 2
You have made the comment about jealousy before Dave and I'll give you the same answer, I am not jealous in any way. I just don't believe it is good for the game in many different ways. It would also be fair to say I have concerns over United being able to stay at the very top given the money now floating about and being thrown away. If you have it spend it, I accept that. There was no need to list those players, I don't have any problem with the players teams buy, provided it is not way over the odds (Torres and Carroll being excellent examples). My objection is the fact that these clubs and their supporters don't seem to want to recognise the fact that they are where they are because of the huge money influx into their clubs. They are suddenly big clubs, I think not. It grates me being a fan of a truly big, great club to hear the likes of sh1ty even thinking they are noisy neighbours, they have a long way to go before they can be considered anywhere close to a Liverpool let alone United. And maybe that is where the real jealousy lies... these clubs have all this money but they know they are still an absolute distance from being considered as great a club as United. Does that sound a little arrogant, possibly so but I make no excuses for that, I am extremely proud of my club. And as for these cash-injected clubs, they have without any doubt imho gained success purely and simply because someone has gifted them hundreds of millions of pounds, euros or whatever. United pretty much spend what the football club generates Dave, an entirely different matter. You don't hear me criticise Real Madrid for example. And if the towns folk of Plymouth chose to fill their stadium every week then I think it would be logical that the club would have more money and grow accordingly. Any club can do what United have done... though in fairness there have been a couple of issues which have helped United get to where they are.
PS How much money does Arsene Wenger have to spend? Serious question, I have no clue but have heard it has been extremely restricted since they bought the new stadium etc. We'll choose to disagree on him, I think he is a top manager and as I have said before, I would have had him at United had Fergie retired when he said he was going to.

And another thing... again
... sorry again
Why do these conversations about Chelsea (and others) always have to come round to "comparisons" with United? We were discussing Chelsea, why do we need to bring in United... or Arsenal for that matter. is it not possible to discuss Chelsea FC without comparing?

Because you support United and I support Chelsea.
My 1st season ticket was £26 and I was a regular to away games,do you think I only
follow Chelsea since Abramovichs money. My dad took me to my 1st game and he's dad was Chelsea.
I'm born and bred West London and defend my team to the hilt,I have local links to the club.
b.
Engles you always mention the money with your reference to Chelski and I will always mention the fact that your team isn't your
local team.
A couple of questions, what team did you support as a boy and where were you born
