Agree with you & Easy and the other positives on this colt- this is a future GREAT!
Will take the July this year for sure!
CTN (and I'm a Kaapie who thought he'd come behind V.rix..?) and COTT don't stand a chance next month!

levi

welcome,

there are MORE negatives surrounding Vercingetorix

than the rest of the field and he still beat them. I can only dream when those negatives get sorted......

Both Vesign and CTN simply reproduced their kra guinea performances but the horses that impressed me were No Worries and Wylie Hall. No Worries improved a lot from his previous runs which makes him a serious contender if more has to come.

I was mostly impressed with Wylie Hall, first time Greyville, having to come from draw 13 and still had something in the finish. This horse is currently rated 98 and whatever the handicapper does his rating probably won't go up which means he will be getting weight from horses he effectively beat already....I will be pleasantly surprised if this horse is not the favourite now on...

He ran to ability , if you took him and Wild one the way they beat Tellina and Warhorse , Wild one was my very strong fancy on Saturday because when Wylie Hall beat him in trail Wild one was caught in a pocket and in Derby Bernard was many lenghs out of his ground at 600m and still Wild one finished like a train . He could have won both that races but on both occasions the jockey on board cost him. After a brilliant ride on Saturday from Bernard on Saturday on Do you Remember he rode one of his poorest rides on Wild one I had plenty e/w doubles on after DYR. He was suppose to sit about 5 lenghs from the leader but found himself sitting stone last and then he tried to get handier 6 horses wide from 800m around the bend but still way out of his ground and using the horse up he still ran on to run 6th , flying to end 3,5 lenghs behind winner. With better ride he could have run very very close , still fancy Wild one alot if making final field .
Hope it make sense Rob or explain/help where you see different ,:)-D

....now I see the replay I'm even more stumped.....No Worries and Wylie Hall seem to be actually eating up the ground while the 1st and 3rd horses seemed to be flat out.....:S...will have to watch it in PVR slomo on a bigger screen to see what to make of the runs.....8-)

I don't disagree Blou...........in fact it confirms my point........... if Wylie Hall ran to his ability it confirms that we cannot get too far ahead of ourselves on Veringterox's EXPOSED form..........he may well be brilliant........... but not confirmed by Sat 's run!
(may be a bit premature for somebody to be tipping him for the Arc yet...............lol)

never tipped him for the Arc, but if we cant see horses run, attach ourselves and our imaginations to them then what can we do?

I posted that Karl had coaxed CTN to due to worrying about stamina.... that was straight after the race live... watched it now three times, and I was watching No Worries..... not CTN :o ... No Worries and Wylie Hall were cutting the front two down hand over fist. Vercing got first run on CTN . . . .but CTN was cutting him back at the finish. Nothing between these two at the moment with Vercing possibly having the more room for improvement.

Also saw the replay today and V gave quite a kick in the straight, CTN seemed to shuffle back a bit at the top of the straight and found his feet quite late on. Still would have expected CTN to sail past V the way he was travelling with about 50m to go but V seemed to give a little more close to home. CTN was still gaining on him but with more grind than glide, Wylie Hall on the other hand was ultra impressive when looking at who was finishing best.
