I don't steal...
Max rating for three year olds based on exposed and collateral form (through Bezenova (Gauteng), Top Jet (Cape) and Everest (Gauteng) ) is 106 but Legislate is running off a 110 and Rakes Chestnut and Louis the King are running off 109 and Captain America off 106...so they are carrying 1,5-2 kgs more than their current form shows...cannot have them...maybe if all of them were 10/1 and greater, I would take all 4 and still make a profit... but since they are not., not for me...
We take our chances and some-one will be right...just no gloating post-event...

@keeran Lockheed Jetstar.
My only concerns are 1st run at Greyville and rested 70 days.
I will make a decision whether to bank him after hearing trainer comments.

hi all...some very nice comments and opinions coming through (tu)
race 4
Hot Ticket relishes this kind of distance and @ 4years old , this Silvano gelding is at Peak!!!....will be a very tough nut to crack especially after it's last run...only 2 dangers for me are Dylan's promise , good draw and great jockey aboard and seems to also like the marathon distance, will trouble the favourite when others have cried enough!....Canterbury tale really puzzles me and could rise to the occasion after showing earlier promise and great potential...something went amiss big time with this smart son of Greys Inn but came back with a decent run behind the favourite last time out....Top stable and jockey selection is very interesting....the rest have a lot to do if merit ratings are anything to go by.
race 5
Alboran Sea looks like a natural champion in the making and her last start was super impressive beating a very progressive sort easily, in Rich girl. I am tempted to banker her in exotics but just cannot ignore the chances of Carry on Alice as her debut run in KZN behind Guiness was full of merit!.....also Love to sail and Pine princess look like really good sorts too!
that's all for now
keep plotting

Hi Kitkat
James Goodman already interviewed trainer and he made Lockheed Jetstar 1 of his top runners on the day. Also ran a few times on the inside track at Turfs so the track will be no problem at all. The whole world will banker Beach Beauty excluding me so if you wanna be brave like me put your head down and take a chance as a 11mil pool does not come often. I will play 2 p6's 1 Lockheed Jetstar banker loading everywhere else and another cover p6
Hope this helps

Pomodoro won this race off 108 - I think LTK has proven to be a better horse having won the TC against three-year-olds that are holding form unlike last year where we had three different winners of the TC series - Legislate wins the KRA and Daily News killing Chestnut's Rocket(has beaten older horses in a Mr 86 too) who then beats Castlethorpe and Punta Arenas at Clairwood. Rake's Chestnut shows he is also a contender. My feeling is that the older horses could not win last year and none have improved dramatically over that period with the exception of Yorker who could have been a runner had he stood his ground.

Very interesting - as stated previously I'm with TN believing the 3 yr olds are too high - the argument that Pomodoro won off 108 is making me re-consider, but that was 2012 and now we are in 2014, so not sure how relevant that is - the fact that Legislate beat Chestnut Rocket, who then beat Punta Arenas does not worry me at all, as CR imo is much better over 1400 and also PA was having a prep.
So I still believe that the 3 yr olds as a group are priced up too short and that the value lies with the older horses - I guess we will see on Saturday :
