True Master with Rake's Chestnut, u could be correct but have a great look at that dbl above. Watch True master carefully... It a Snaith runner but when it cums to the Kings- they call the shot.. How many time did we see those thing. Apart frm that .. King of Pain beat Beach Beauty in her play ground. She class above the rest. Let wait till saturday.. Legislate is class, a perfect Bloodline same as B.B. But there no certainty in this game. Take an eg .. Woodruff's Yard Arm.. That was a machine, what happen when it came to race day. What happens if Legislate and Beach beauty dont cum in the pa. The 11 million bucks pick6 is a Carryover.. Last year race 5 an odd on favorite ran off the board.. 50/1 won ... . When it cums to grade 1's it a total diffrent story... Take this in mind: that in a 11 million rand pick6 stable does not apply.. Last year the stable counts and we had a Million buck payout..
I say it a grade 1 day with 11 million bucks pick6 with no Legislate and no Beach beauty.. It Pay pay.

Its not about the Tarry Horses, its about the champion Jockeys - Horses don't know prices but people do ;)

I watched the daily news live and legislate was stopping, the jocks nervous glance across gives it away, nothing will change come Saturday from that draw, he will come wide again, hit the front and when he starts shortening his stride, Louis will go past him with a " wet sail " its as simple as that

Snaith’s No 1 jockey Richard Fourie will partner Legislate in the Durban July and says: “He’s a star horse and I’ve never seen him looking as good.”

Fourie added: “Yes, there’s a high calibre of horse in the race, but Legislate is really smart and is on the ascension. He’s an absolute gentleman to ride, straightforward with no kink in his armour. I’m excited to see what’s coming after this.”

One reason Legislate’s popularity is ebbing is that the high-class three-year-old son of 2003 Durban July winner Dynasty drew at No 14 and if the reserve runners do not take part, will start in the 11th of the 16 stalls.

Fourie does not believe the draw will have much of an impact on his performance. “He is versatile in terms of where you can place him, so the draw should not impact too much on his performance. Look at his last run, in the Daily News 2000. He raced three deep and quickened so hard that he put a blanket over the rest. He’s a very special horse, way above the others his age.”

You know Craig, that's the way i saw it as well. I posted something about Legislate hanging, just can't recall on which thread. Funny enough a fairly new clan member, the name escapes me (Jimmy....), used the phrase Legislate was crying for the line. Fast forward to the panel discussion after the gallops, and Kevin Shea did not tip Legislate to finish in the first four. That's coming from the jockey who ran third in the DN 2000, he would know what he had left under him (LTK). As a Rakes Chestnut fan, Shea gave it a mention of a first four finish, and that's encouraging for me anyway. Without wanting to upset Noorhoek Ice, i think the two Woodruff 3 year olds will finish ahead of Legislate as they were both finishing very well and Legislate appeared to be stopping badly.
