Muhti, the same applies to humans, you can get two brain surgeons to be intimate, there is no guarantee the offspring will be more intelligent than either parent. Why should horses be any different?

.....the difference is that humans have been evolving and breeding for many thousands of years and the genetic gene pools and what influence them are magnified by many, many more multiples .....the thoroughbred racehorse has only recently evolved (less than 300years)and by choice human intervention have been paired and manipulated to confine the genetic pool to a far lot less than us humans.....so there is a far greater accuracy in determining genetic predisposition in thoroughbred horses than that of us humans..... :blink:
