people can make a mistake but when it costs the exact people who keep the game going its not a joke. Yes it cost me cash and probably the pick 6

I had the ist three in the P6 as it was impossible to punt one on the nose,so to me it did not matter who won

All i can say, is that Pierre is a professional but also human,and i am sure nobody will feel as bad as he do does right now, not that it helps anybody.

Mostly he is a big help to punters
He made a mistake and he must live with it
We get raw deals left right and center in this game, but come on guys,I am sure he will learn from this and yes it is his job and he gets paid for it,but don't we all make mistakes?

Forgive the man,he has made us money over and over and will do so again

Let's see what the NHA comes up with.. I've seen a lot worse go unnoticed and that was just a mistake.. Striker is a top top professional however these things happen but let's not target him because he's the best.. If they try " nail" him we can all point out many rides much worse that just go by without a comment from the stipes

Most of you defending him are either blind or ignorant.From a jock who boasts abt how many winners he has ridden surely this is NOT just a mistake!!!!If you ask me he had Top Shot a banker in his p6...p.s I am normally the guy that blows a gasket when people say racing is fixed,coz I believe its not!!!But I do hope they make a proper example of him,so it can save us,as punters from such 'mistakes' in the past.
BTW...I really like Pierre as a jockey.

Honest mistake Imo, nothing more.

I see Striker as one that cares for the horses as well, he thought he had done enough to win and apart from the last 25 yards of the race I must admit I thought so too.

A Fortune cost you a fortune....

Not sure why so many people defending striker . Did he fulfill his obligations and duty as a jockey to ride the horse out ? If the answer is no , which it clearly is then he must be severely punished and I hope that happens . It's high time people in the game stop getting away with transgressions and failing the public. It's irrelevant who the jockey is or his character , rules are in place for a reason . U fine a jockey money for saluting, it cost the punter zero , this hurt the man on the streets pockets, the exact person who keeps the game going daily

No excuses are in order and no rocket scientists doing ABC. :lol:

However if you were to ask the connections of Rocket Man and Smanjemanje what it was like to be beaten on the line by a DETERMINED finishing ride, they would say just that. No excuses but a vigorous well-timed finishing burst that denied them the winner's sash and the roll of honour in the history books. :blink:

Striker clearly intended to win the race .............he hit the front fairly late and the intent was clear!
But,as a top jock he "made a mistake" ...........however it was a negligent mistake and he is therefore "culpable"
Culpability is an offense not a mitigation, so it doesn't make it OK!..............he will be in trouble!

Either the jockey transgressed the rules or he did not.

GUILTY.

It so happens to be Striker.

The punishment needs to be the same for one and all,so whatever precedent has previously been set needs to be followed.

Someone,somewhere,would have been burned for big money today and is spitting blood as a result.

Justice needs to be served.
