Whether they charge or not is inconsequential as years of not charging has not brought in any new people to racing. There will be those that will continue to go and maybe play slightly less but would probably be an overall net gain for the operator in terms of revenue from these players.

The principle of charging something is not out of place as long as the service and facilities are of a certain standard and if patrons feel that they are getting value for money. This is the true measure that will determine support of an activity.

Storm in a tea cup, nothing more. No die hard needs to be on track to place a bet. If you chase the last few away you could probably save a packet on venue staff each meeting.

Summerhill if going down just another nail in the coffin of SA racing. Rest of KZN breeders where to from here.

phumelela executives and management live in a place called LALALAND time they come back to earth.

What is sad is History .

The one establishment that you missed on the list is the TBA -

There have been so many changes recently and the showing of the new TBA Shongwani Sale under Michael Holmes to me was a total disaster . Vendors / Sellers should have rather culled than pay the nomination fee and Transport to the venue .

If that was an example under the management oh well the CTS are just going to clean up.

FYI the snippets posted on this thread seemingly were from a non disclosure liaison meeting and the shit has hit the fan

Have been guided that we should be careful what we post going forward to save us from being implicated.

Are the MEN IN BLACK SUITS going to 'neuralize' us now so that nobody knows about this then?

Bob, you must be heard of Panama Papers, Denton's Report, etc. It all was leaked. This effects the punter because of an entrance fee so we have the right to know as it effects the public. They also have the Freedom of Information Act but I think that act only covers government entities.

What do you expect when Basel is put in charge
Has no business experience at all
A good commentator as is Hawkins
Does not qualify either to run a business of any sort
I read the R.Scott was congratulated for the improvement
of his division
Comes from a long term business background in the retail field

Works

The sensitivity around this is amazing and in my opinion they have no legal leg to stand on. Why threaten abc when clearly their problem lies from within the committee. Let me tell you something, there is far more damaging content than what I posted and believe me this is why the shit is flying as Bob says. Who do these people think that they are, clearly all the members of this committee ( besides one ;) ) are yes men.
