Aussenkehr another game run under a big weight in 2nd.
One runner at Vaal on Thursday. JP Two Thousand in race 9. A competitive handicap where Copper John getting the 4kg claim and a nice draw looks the one to beat.
JP has not won for nearly 2 years, and the 1800m is at the limit of his stamina. He can’t be ignored in a moderate field off a competitive rating, but probably a place chance at best.

JP not a bad run just out the placings. Hopefully their patience will be rewarded at some stage with another win.
Two runners at Fairview on Friday.
*Treasure Hunt runs in race 4. Badly out at the weights and a wide draw. It looks a match race between Luna Halo and And We Danced.
Nothingelsematters in race 6. A competitive race. He will enjoy the long straight and is distance suited. He will fight out the finish.
Light Without showed remarkable improvement for a 6 yo last time in a Pinnacle where he ran at least 10lb above his rating. If he can repeat that run he will win.
Central City won well last time, but that was on poly, and he is a favourite that is worth taking on despite the services of Fourie. Painite is 2.5kg better off ( If Mxothwa can make the carded weight) for 2.5L beating and so should turn the tables on CC. A few others with chances, but these 4 are the short list.

Treasure Hunt ran a super race in 4th. Nothingelsematters disappointing effort.
Two runners at Turffontein on Saturday.
Almond Sea in race 2. Very cramped odds, but expecting her to stay unbeaten and pick up a deserved Gr2.
Celtic Rumours in race 4. Very tough task at the weights, but this is her optimum trip. Sandringham Summit is a worthy favourite, but At My Command is too generously priced at 14/1 despite his draw.

Almond Sea seemed not to see out the 1160 in the sticky going, but still very disappointing in 3rd.
Half sister Celtic Rumours ran a cracker at the weights in the Hawaii just missing 3rd place
One runner at Kenilworth on Saturday
Walk With Me in race 4. Useful debut and should enjoy the step up in trip, but a tough task for a 2yo getting only 4kg instead of 10kg WFA against the 3yos. Hence, he has to run to a rating of 92 or more to win.
One runner at Turffontein on Saturday.
Aussenkher runs in race 8. In my view he is too high in the ratings, but gets a 3kg appie allowance here, so must have an ew chance in a very open race.

Walk With Me a bit disappointing. Aussenkher fair run in 4th.
One runner at Scottsville on Sunday.
Dawn Surprise in race 8. Big, competitive field where many have winning chances. She won her maiden well but not the strongest of opposition. Seems to be drawn on the right side of the track, and seems overpriced at 30/1. With reasonable improvement should have an ew shout.
Pritti Victory gets 4kg allowance, so must be respected.

Dawn Surprise disappointing, no excuses.
one runner at Fairview on Tuesday
*Sunlit From Heaven in race 4. Has not been consistent, but from a good draw and won her maiden this c & d, can pop up if she’s in the mood. A tricky race, many with chances.

Sunlit came back a bit sore from a disappointing effort.
One runner at Kenilworth on Saturday. Flying Bomb in race 1. Big field and a strong favourite in Kaiboy. Worldly also a decent debut and should improve on that. Of the other unraced runners, some talk and money for the well bred Powerandtheglory.
The previous trainer thought highly of Flying Bomb before all that owner's horses moved to Choppies. The jockey booking is a positive sign and he might make the quartets pay even if not tuned up for this race.
One runner at Turffontein. Canford Rose in race 4. After a very promising maiden win, was thrown into some very strong races in CT at unfavourable weight terms and did not perform. If she is back to her best, and fit after the break, she has been dropped in the ratings and could cause an upset.

Flying Bomb very slow out the pens- will no doubt come on from this.
Canford Rose looked like she needed this run.
One runner at Greyville on Sunday. Pascali runs in race 7. Trying the trip for the first time, but I think that he is now strong enough, and I'm expecting a decent effort. The F&M get a hefty allowance in these races, which makes all of Pinstripe, Jollification, Duchess of Gold and Kind Judy tough to beat at the weights.
Vihaan's Bomb is a progressive sort and won well this trip last time. However, he beat a weak field and will need to step up here so Pinstripe and Jollification look better ew value.

Pascali not disgraced, but given too much to do in the straight and perhaps more effective over a bit shorter.
Two runners at Vaal on Tuesday. Stroopsoet in race 1. Bumps a a strongish field on debut, and may prefer further. No betting support but the mare has 100% record of winners so will watch with interest.
Far Reaching looks the one to beat after going close on debut, but healthy respect for Kindred Heart which has run well all 4 runs and has experience this track. Valieva also overdue a maiden win.
JP Twothousand runs in race 8. Not bad last two over further, so has an ew chance back to this trip. Hasn't won for almost 2 years but a very open field. Viva de Janiero looks the one to beat but many others with chances.

Stroopsoet anything but sweet on the way to the start- gave the jockey a hard time and expended lots of energy. Showed early pace but unsurprisingly faded out. Hopefully can get her to calm down at the races in future.
JP fair effort, but not worth following.
Three runners at Fairview on Friday
*Hiersdieding makes his debut in race 1. Would have preferred to start him off on grass but the PE program sucks. Wide draw to overcome, and he is a late maturing staying type. He has shown some ability in work and this is not the strongest of fields, although he must give weight to the fillies, so just hoping that he might sneak a place. Fire Alarm looks hard to beat after a decent debut this track, and Can't Say No fair form. Oh My Gucci Girl should also be competitive with a few runs under the belt and 4kg claim.
Elusive Hunter runs in race 2. has been dismal so far and even with bottom weight can't get excited.
*Elusive Mata runs in race 3. Very open race. She started off her career with a few very promising runs, and then lost the plot. She has the ability to win a race of this nature if she puts her best foot forward, but has been unreliable in recent months. gets a nice draw and 1.5kg claim so hoping to see her involved in the finish.

Super effort by Elusive Mata- beaten by Fourie on the line. Must crack her maiden soon.
Hiersdieding very green and will come on from this.
Elusive Hunter some improvement but still not looking like a potential winner.
One runner at Turffontein on Saturday. Celtic Rumours in race 10. Ran a cracker last time and if repeating will win. Only concern is whether this comes too soon after that big effort where she pulled up distressed. Zinovi looks the main danger. The two top weights are good enough if they can repeat best form.
