Dawn Surprise dropped out from her wide draw and ran on into 5th.

Two runners at Kenilworth on Thursday.
Double Dash in race 6. Excuses last time and has an ew shout at long odds in an open race.
Golden Tatjana in race 10. At these weights is a big runner.

Fair run by Double dash.
Golden Tatjana messed up the start and never able to recover.

3 runners at Kenilworth on Tuesday.
Luca Da Wheels in race 2. Slow away on debut, but showed good pace before tiring. If he jumps on terms could be a useful inclusion in the quartets at huge odds.
Call to Unite in race 6. Big weight and 1600m on the sharp side. has had breathing issues. Very open race.
Golden Ideal in race 8. Back to her favorite distance and has been working well. I’m expecting a big run from her. She has beaten most of these before, and her main danger is the younger Winteronthegreen.

Luca again slow to begin and didn't improve this going. needs to mature and strengthen up, and to be schooled in the pens. Will need further.
Call To Unite fair run this trip and weight.
Golden Ideal missed the break, which is very annoying as she is usually quick out the pens. Was running on strongest of all despite finding some traffic problems. Jock fined for dropping his hands before the line. Ran 4th, but I have no doubt would have won had she jumped on terms.

One runner at fairview on friday
Treasure Hunt in race 7. Gutsy win last time, and a harsh 2kg penalty. Should again run well from a nice draw, but tough task at the weights this field. Walkonthewildside is the one to beat, and Enchanting Choice has been running against stronger in CT.

Treasure Hunt took a bump and faded out.
We have retired Silver Quality.
One runner at Turffontein on Monday.
On an Impulse in race 4. Was used as pacemaker last time and faded out. Tough draw but should improve with the experience. Golden Operator looks to have this race at his mercy, and not much other form, so maybe On An Impulse  can sneak into the money.

On An Impulse pushed out wide at the start, so dropped out to the rear, but ran on nicely although missed the places.

One runner at Fairview on Friday. Mhlabeni in race 4. Gets a nice draw but a tough task at the weights. has a place if showing best form. Bingwa looks hard to beat. Lurker at the weights is Global Ally

Another gutsy run by Mhlabeni to run 4th in a strong field.

One runner at Turffontein on Saturday.
Aussenkher in race 6. Returns from a long break - had totally lost his form, and thus now MR 84 against a high of 100. No idea whether he can still be competitive. Hopefully they would not run him unless he is properly sound.

Aussenkher dismal run.

One runner at fairview on Friday. Treasure Hunt in race 8. Competitive race and not well in after her recent 2kg penalty. (eg. is a kilo worse off with Valeria's Dream that beat her when they met on 22 april.)
Well suited to course and distance and gets the plum draw. However, only 2 weeks since her last run and she normally runs better with a longer break between races.
She is game, and if they let her get a soft lead can be hard to peg back.

Good run by Treasure Hunt to run 2nd with different tactics.

One runner at Scottsville on Wednesday. Dawn Surprise in race 6. Steps up again in trip. One kilo under sufferance after further drop in ratings. If she stays has a squeak in an open race, although a bad draw.
Hodgepodge and Another Dream look the best two.

Dawn Surprise dropped out from the draw and then badly bumped in the straight when making her run- ignore run.

Two runners at turffontein on Thursday.
Step On It makes his debut in race 5. Bit surprising to see debut this track and trip for a 2yo. Obviously out at the WFA weights with the older runners. David D said in interview with JG that he doesn’t show a lot at home, but wouldn’t be surprised to see him in the winners box??
When they send them out over a trip first time it either means they appear slow, or they think they are quite decent and strong enough. we will see.

Aussenkher in race 8. Very poor comeback run. Hopefully he was just unfit and not unsound.

I hope racing goes ahead at Kenilworth as we have 5 runners.
Race 1 *Disruptive has his second start. Expecting a lot of improvement as he was slow away and had not had a grass gallop before debut. Rockanrollin and Marcus Aurelius look the two to fight it out, but quite a few with likely improvement so looks a competitive race. If we are a few lengths off them this time, I will be happy, as he is likely to need a longer trip.
race 2 Elusive Gift (bred by Ambiance Stud). Was a cheap purchase but she looks quite racy. A light framed filly, so if she handles the conditions, expect a decent effort.
Race 6  *Golden Angel. Is overdue her second win. Maybe she was waiting for Glen to have his 2000th winner. Competitive race and many with decent form, but she gets the plum draw and seems to run ok in the soft. The drop in distance should be offset by the heavy track. I am hoping today is her day.
race 8 *Golden Ideal and Golden Tatjana both run. Golden Ideal is under sufferance here, but runs ok in the wet and is distance suited. Could sneak a place. Golden Tatjana has disappointed last few, and is now 30lb below her 2yo rating. Missed the break last time, and if she can ping the gates in her usual style, is a serious runner.

*Disruptive did not enjoy the heavy going.
Elusive Gift showed fair pace and tired.
Unfortunately the later races cancelled at Kenilworth

Step Into It a very encouraging debut- green early and ran on well in 4th.

Another gutsy run by Treasure Hunt. In 2nd and by evergreen Mhlabeni in 4th.

One runner at Fairview on Friday 18th July
Treasure Hunt in race 7. Gets a nice draw and should again be in the firing line.
Bosnay and Family Power the best of the rest but both have wide draws to overcome.

Fair run by Treasure Hunt in 5th
One runner at Turffontein on saturday.
Ausenkher in race 9.
Its really sad as the breeder to see a nice horse like this being forced to run every week when he is clearly not sound. I cannot understand how the NHRA do not require a vet certificate after he was pulled up and found to be lame just 9 days ago.
