Good win by Double Dash. She looks like a decent stayer in the making.
Golden Ideal the saddle slipped sideways at the jump, and then rushed up and faded out. Ignore this run.
One runner at Fairview on Friday. Treasure Hunt in race 7. Down in class but a big weight and again not well drawn. Is course and distance suited and if repeating last effort can again be in the money. However, throughout her career she has never run well with a short gap between races.
One runner at Greyville on Friday. Common Grounds in race 2. Has not run well since returning from the break. However, has come down in the ratings and gets a good draw. has previously won on the poly, so has a shout if finding his form.

Treasure Hunt way out of her ground and had no chance from where she was placed. Strange tactics for a horse that has good gate speed.
Common Grounds showed pace but faded badly. Clearly there is something amiss that they need to sort out.
One runner at Kenilworth on Saturday. Golden Angel in race 5. While these races are programmed for the hard knocking lower division handicappers, they also create an opportunity for up and coming 3yos that have had a couple of races in class 4 and 5 to qualify. Golden Angel gets a good draw and she is a big runner here with the sex allowance. We finished right next to the favourite Swaitek last time on the same weight terms, and again we have the draw advantage. Good ew value at 8/1.

Golden Angel missed the jump and then was way out of her ground. Finished best of all but had far too much to do. Very frustrating.
Well done to Fran and Walter Cowe- nice win by Kwagga Blitz which they bred and which was raised on our farm.
One runner at Scottsville on Sunday. Dawn Surprise in race 8. Has been disappointing post her easy maiden win this C&D a year ago. Has dropped in the ratings and gets 4kg claim so could surprise in a moderate field.

Dawn Surprise improved run, good 2nd
Two runners at Fairview on Friday
Nothingelsematters in race 4. Big winning chance
Mhlabeni in race 6. Very tough task. Top two should fight it out

Another second by Nothingelsematters. Beaten by much improved Slainte Mhath , bred by Fran and Walter Cowe, and giving them a quick double this week for their mare African Honey.
Mhlabeni no show.
Three runners at Kenilworth on Saturday.
Silver Quality in race 3. Should improve this class, but will need further.
Walk With Me in race 6. Another bad draw in a competitive race and a huge weight, so will need a lot of luck.
Call to Unite in race 7. Will much prefer this trip, and can be involved in the finish on best form.

Silver quality improved run in 5th, and is strengthening up nicely.
Walk With Me good run with that weight and draw.
Call to Unite second best.
Two runners at Fairview on Friday.
Beau Kala in race 5. Comes back from a break and a big weight to shoulder in an open race.
Mhlabeni in race 6. seems past his best.

Mhlabeni ran a cracker in 3rd- some life in him yet.
Beau Kala not a bad effort after the long break.
Two runners at Kenilworth on Saturday
Celtic Rumours in Race 6. She has been horribly off form in CT, but she is a 1400m specialist, and on best form has a money chance. Roccapina just needs to repeat her last effort to win this. Dangers are Bavarian Beauty if she can bounce back to form, and Gimmie's Countess if she is not too far back again from another wide draw.
Golden Angel in race 9. She is fit and well, and gets a plum draw and top jockey and I think is better than her current rating. Ignore last- she missed the break and nothing went right after that. I think that she has a good winning chance. The race is more competitive than the betting would suggest. AlltheboysIveloved is a worthy favourite as she is on the up. She won well from a wide draw last time and has a smart turn of foot. Miraculous is also improving and despite the wide draw must be respected. October Fest is lightly race and another that will end up higher than her current rating. My Only Weakness is consistent and the drop back to 1400m and the blinkers could make the difference.

Golden Angel a bit disappointing in 4th.
One runner at Kenilworth on Wednesday. Golden Tatjana in race 8. Somewhat better effort last time against stronger, and should be fitter now. Open race and can win if finding her juvenile form.

Poor run by Golden Tatjana, but strangely no comment by the stipes.
One runner at Scottsville on Sunday, if we get through the meeting.
Common Grounds in race 8. drops down to the 1000m. Is now down 9 points from his peak MR so hopefully will be more competitive now.

Common Grounds poor run.
Similarly Elusive Hunter and Elusive Mata in PE on Tuesday.
One runner at Fairview on Friday.
Nothingelsematters in race 7. has been holding form recently and again in with a shout.
One runner at Greyville on Friday.
Dawn Surprise in race 9. Should be competitive again.

Nothingelsematters and Dawn Surprise both somewhat disappointing.
Silver Quality and Walk With me ran on Sat8th at Durbanville, both from wide draws and badly ridden. Ignore.
Mhlabeni ran a blinder on Friday at Fairview, just failing by half a length in a strong field. Great training feat by Duncan McKenzie with this tough 7yo.
One runner at Turffontein on Saturday.
Almond Sea in race 7. She is the one to beat, but a slight concern re the going if it is too wet.
I was hoping that they would take the plunge and rather run her in the Computaform Sprint next week. I think that she could have given the boys a go.

Almond Sea very disappointing.
Three runners at Kenilworth on Sunday
*Golden Ideal in race 3. This is stronger company than her class, but we wanted to run her at Kenilworth rather than Durbanville until the rains start. She has a paper weight and there is little wind, so if she gets a good start and can keep rolling she shouldn't be disgraced.
Golden Tatjana in race 4. Seems that the op did not fully sort out her issues. Paying the price now for doing too much as a juvenile. Perhaps will go to stud after this.
Celtic Rumours in race 9. Has not flourished in the Cape season, but gets a jockey that has done best on her, and this is her preferred trip. Could surprise, but another that may be ready for the breeding shed.
