Leaving the 300m, BETHEL (M Yeni), SUCCESSFUL SECRET (N Klink), GIN AND TONIC (M Khan), BRIDGE OF SPIES (Wes Marwing) and MERCER GIRL (*C F Dicken) suffered varying degrees of severe interference when bumped out and carried out by PRINCESS SABRINA (S Khumalo), which shifted out from the 350m.
A race review was called by a member of the Stipendiary Board, who after reviewing the incident, was of the opinion that this had not affected the result of the race and therefore took no further action

How in ANY WORLD can the stipes say that 4 horses being bumped in the last 300m did not affect the result!!! The winner is the horse that caused this yet those behind should accept this because he won - What about second third fourth who were stopped - Nonsense ! I hope Khumalo gets a holiday!

An Inquiry will be opened into why BETHEL (M Yeni), SUCCESSFUL SECRET (N Klink), GIN AND TONIC (M Khan), BRIDGE OF SPIES (Wes Marwing) and MERCER GIRL (*C F Dicken) suffered varying degrees of interference leaving the 300m.

That's the new rules Mr.H.
Where any of them going to beat the winner?
The stipes obviously didn't think so.
Old rules he would have got demoted behind the horse that lost a place because of the interference.
If they bring the old rules back we would definitely have safer riding from the jockeys I think.

These are the RULES clear as Day
69.3.1 a placed HORSE was interfered with by another placed HORSE and/or its RIDER during a
RACE and the HORSE which was interfered with would, but for the interference, have
finished ahead of the HORSE which caused the interference, in which event, the
OBJECTION BOARD shall place the HORSE which caused the interference behind the
HORSE which was interfered with or it may disqualify the HORSE which caused the
interference;
69.3.2 any HORSE in the RACE was interfered with by any other HORSE and/or its RIDER and
as a result of which the chances of the HORSE interfered with were jeopardised, the
OBJECTION BOARD may, if it believes that the nature of the interference warrants such
action, disqualify the HORSE which caused the interference
.

The correct course no matter how unpopular would have been to disqualify the winner as per their own rules They are NOT APPLYING the rules correctly because they perhaps don't understand them or are ignoring their own rules
