October Morn best bet - not great value but should win imo; in the Green Point I'm going each-way my old favorite Al Muthana - Gr 1 winner here when beating Charles Dickens and better off at the weights (have to be said CD has WFA improvement to come) - stable comments 'might need the run', but I'll take my chances at those odds; Fillies Guineas is open imo - I'm not convinced that Rascova and the Mrs will see out the 1600

I fancy Kaapse Klopse R3, think it will be hard to beat.

I was at Durbanville when October Morn last ran. A lot of people, me included, had bombs on this horse. I can say that it was a special ride to not to win. Not saying there was anything untoward, just a super super special ride to get October Morn to run into the backside of another horse at the 300m mark. Obviously, once she regained her stride it was too late for her to collar the winner.

Was very disappointed and went to the parade ring to see the reaction of Candice and the connections. All I can say is that Fourie was apologising profusely and gesticulating as he was being led towards Candice and the owner, Mr Abery, who were both incandescent. Fourie carried on explaining to death stares, but no one was accepting any apologies or explanations.

Bottom line, stable and owner money was down that day. Horse was meant to win. Jockey error on the day.

Today, Kenilworth 1000m, not as fast, slight uphill will suit October Morn to the tee as she comes from off the pace. Aldo back on board & the money down again (back from 3/1 Thursday opening price to current 15/10). This is my idea of the bet of the day.
