INQUIRY - JOCKEY MR GAVIN LERENA AND JOCKEY MR JASON GATES

The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa (NHA) confirms that an Inquiry has been opened into an incident that took place during Race 2 at Turffontein Racecourse on Sunday, 26 January 2025.

The incident involved Jockey Gavin Lerena (GIMME A STORM) and Jockey Jason Gates (BLURRED VISION). The inquiry was originally scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 4 February 2025, but following a request for a postponement from one of the parties, the inquiry will now take place at the NHA offices in Johannesburg on Friday, 21 February 2025, commencing at 09:30.

After watching the replay ,I'm shocked .
Gavin in big s*** here .
I hope for the best but code of conduct will kick in and does not look good .
Gates on the other hand should be equally penalised  for his role in this incident .

DAMNED DISGRACE!!!!!!  NHRA NO back-bone !!!!

,,,,,,,the inability to settle most matters in a planned manner in a single sitting.....speaks volumes that they are seriously lacking any ability to be decisive.....and by dragging these hearings out in this fashion  is not only costing them time and money but also  further damaging their rather poor reputation..... 

At least when this is finalised Lerena can win the championship and take his suspension in the new season 25/26!!!

Does anyone know what the delay is ?
