What will he go for the 5furlongs Kings Stand Stakes or the preferred 6 furlongs Golden Jubilee??
Watch your bets, I was going for the King Stand but could be wrong?

Is JJ good enough to win any of these races?

Both races, imvho if JJ goes for one of the races has every chance to win.
We have this mindset that it cant run in both races??
If Buddy Maroun was the trainer would go for both, same as the Australian trainers.
food for thought???

actually after seeing the Hungarian horse miss out, i'm just hopeful there's no setback for JJ, heartbreaking when there's been such a long road and lots of planning to get South African horses to the UK.

JJ a worthy fav for the Jubilee imho!
I think the 5f race will be too sharp - unless there is some cut in the ground.
Jim.

I would leave JJ in for the Kings Stand just to give him a nice gallop and feel for the track and then have a full go for the Jubilee.
Im not sure if this is financially feasible but the problem with Ascot is often that one side of the track is more favourable than the other, as well as being a reasonably uneven surface. Its sure to be a very big field so if you're on the wrong side of the track your race is over before it begins.
Last year's champion European sprinter Merchand Dor was drawn on the wrong side and never got a blow in while the first few past the post were all drawn together. Merchand Dor beat the very same horses at Newmarket shortly thereafter and also won a couple of big races in France.
War Artist was pretty close to the top sprinters in Europe last year and I would put JJ ahead of him, but at this stage 12 or 10-1 is a pretty accurate reflection of JJ's chances...
