I know you not a fan Magic, but they had some rastafarian oke "singing" the anthem some of the players were battling to hold back the laughter. Then some ex frenchie captain brought some kid on to kick the ball from the center spot. The boy kicked the ball 2 meters and fell on his ass.
all just a bit weird!

That Rasta looked like something from all time Idols flops, are you not suppose to be able to sing to get an invite?

Alcaponee I agree with you, what a disgrace. Do the French know that South Africa and Jamaica are not exactly neighbours. I hope the IRB take serious action against the French as this is a deliberate attach on South Africa. I hope the French make the Soccer World Cup finals and we can play "God Save The Queen" instead of their national anthem.

If we had Bon Jovi or Madonna singing the anthem we would have still lost. Outplayed and out thought.

Loved it when the chubby French kid fell on his arse. Brian Habanah almost burst out laughing when the Bob Marley wanna be was screaming our national anthem.

Laughed at that kid falling but felt guilty as he looked as though he may have had a disability of sorts - if so crazy to let him make his name mud in front of 75000 fans and a worldwide television audience.
French been messing alot of anthems up recently - when Contador won the Tour de France they played the Swiss anthem (or one of the other Euro countries at any rate) rather than the spanish.

Screwing up our anthem is the least those frogs will do. The dirtiest and most irritating team to play against.
A joy to watch in full flight tho and full value for their win. I didn't agree with the South Africa being odds on but I just can't bring myself to back against the boks!
For a second I thought it was Leon Shuster singing in disguise!
