FOR SHOUTING THE WRONG HORSE!!!

....!
The commentator (Fairview, Friday) gives the 6th race clearly to No.4, Ebukhosini; the winner is No. 3 Foxtrot Tango!
What the heck?
Is this the standard for overseas racing? And not just once?
Bring back Smiley, at the least!
Or, put Cecil & Dees also on the job...if Shaheen can do it (by trial and t..error), why not them too?
BTW, where are the black faces as commentators in this country?
I suppose a kow-towing Indian in the RA, another one or two in the NHA & Gold Circle is better than half-a-dozen or more Africans and Coloureds who might start asking the 'wrong' questions?
Who wants them when one considers the recent furore over the 'drug' incidents where a white jock gets off lightly, whilst the Africans were thrown the book? Only well-behaved Africans will do...THANK YOU!

Umlilo,
its a democracy...
freedom of speach...
the commentator can surely say what he likes....lol..
most guys will pass on the job...you saw what happened to Rautenbach at the court
imagine how easy it would be for the tracers...
Phumelela is working with the tracers too..
they stuff up the quartet payouts..
ask all the punters to complete the claims form...and see...lol...

Andrewest:
Lost my cuckoo for that while- I had both horses in the JP & P6 running. I (like any other punter) was elated that the outsider won and looked forward to a big payout after many moons! Maybe, the horses run faster nowadays (or, at E Cape) so you can't track & call them! Or, the colours are very much similar? Overcast? A shadow? Bee/wasp hovering in the commentary room? Waiting tofr race over to run to the gents?...??????
BUT, Yes- we voted for freedom of speech, democracy, habeas corpus, etc. It works soooo funderful....for pals only! Everyone/thing has a price for the highest bidder/schemer/manipulator!
Long Live! Viva Horseracing! (no matter the holes in your pockets)! Viva!
Would have been interesting to have watched the judge, attorneys, Selebi & Agliotti toy-toying outside court yesterday...against Eskom!
'Phansi Eskom! Phambili with power!'
Maybe, they didn't 'cos they used so much to working 'in the dark'!
BTW, the standards set by late Ernie Duffield are not just nostalgic, but jolting memories! .....'AND....a wayyyyyyy theyyyy ggggggo!'
The way we go?

Shocking to your ears but not to the Americans. To me South African race callers are pathetic "fire in his eyes" "scrapping the paint" "greets the judge" "smokin the cigar" plus the rest of their stupid little sayings.

Must agree with my "dad"...HArry hotspur....
It looked as if the second horse could have held on even if it was very close.
I think sometimes we are a little hard on the commentators. It is easy for us to sit and critisize but let us go and try do these guys jobs...Not easy my friend, not easy!!
They are professionals and do conduct themselves accordingly with the slight hiccup here and there.
At least we don't have the Zim boys here!!! That would be a travesty.
Lets give Mr. Schoeman a break and let him do his commentary travelling all over the parts of SA where most of us will NEVER go!!
