I had a cracking day. Envoi Allen fell and Dashel Drasher was scratched 😅😂🤣
Great to watch Rachael Blackmore, another great day even though she took her 4th fall for the meeting in the last. They make them tough in Ireland.
I’ll be back for more tomorrow... got to win something and the ITV7 is a whopping £500k 🤪

Last day, I’ve been waiting for this...
Tritonic has been on my Cheltenham radar since his first win, he is class, in a strong field but he is value and up to this!
Champ is going to finally bring a Gold Cup back to Britain... great race. Can’t wait!
Elimay is surely the bet of the day after yesterday’s Ryan Air form line..
Have a great day and 365 days again until the best festival in the world.
May you all stay healthy and be here for Cheltenham 2022☘️🍺

Mac's tally for Gr1's is now 3/11 with Flooring Porter whom I got at 14's and 16's. Hey, all my buddy clansmen, thanks for all the accolades. (The same to for Elle Est Belle who ran 3rd at 25/1 with me).
Today, Friday, is Gold Cup day, and all i can say for now is thanks for the lockdown as I have been able to sneak in the the TV coverage barring loadshedding.
Gr1's For today:
R1 Quilixios
R3 Barbados Buck's
R4 The Gold Cup - Al Boum Photo - go for it buddy
Prosperous punting

Race 1 Zanahiyr and Race 6 Elimay look to be a nice double on the day
It Came To Pass should go glose in the Hunters Chase
Captain Kangaroo in race 2 will be eachway play on the day

Not sure I understand all these 'bumpers' and 'chases' - but I do like number 1 today - Al Boum Photo in the Cup, Billaway in the Hunter's Chase and Colreevy in the Mares Chase

At 212, Arkle’s Timeform rating is the highest ever awarded to a steeplechaser. Only Flyingbolt, also trained by Dreaper, had a rating anywhere near his at 210. Next on their ratings are Sprinter Sacre on 192 and then Kauto Star and Mill House on 191. Despite his career being cut short by injury, Arkle won three Cheltenham Gold Cups, the Blue Riband of steeplechasing, and a host of other top prizes.

The racing authorities in Ireland took the unprecedented step in the Irish Grand National of devising two weight systems — one to be used when Arkle was running and one when he was not. Arkle won the 1964 race by only one length, but he carried two and half stones more than his rivals.

In the 1966 renewal, he was the shortest-priced favourite in history to win the Gold Cup, starting at odds of 1/10. He won the race by thirty lengths despite a mistake early in the race where he ploughed through a fence.

Arkle became a national legend in Ireland. His strength was jokingly claimed to come from drinking Guinness twice a day. At one point, the slogan Arkle for President was written on a wall in Dublin. The horse was often referred to simply as "Himself", and he supposedly received items of fan mail addressed to 'Himself, Ireland'.

Al Boum Photo is bidding to become only the second horse since Arkle in the 1960s to win the big race three times.
I hope Al Boum Photo will stand next to Arkle in the record books and that I will be able to say “I backed him”.
