I've said this before...jockey is only as good as the quality of horse he rides...can make a horse go slower (and they have their ways and post race excuses / justifications) but cannot make it go quicker than its innate ability...

Even AM, at his very peak, riding the best / most expensive imports of MJ didn't win more than 3 in 10...I'd venture that FD, even with the Godolphin machine to support him, didn't average 1 win for every 4 mounts...

With Aus harness racing, when a horse breaks stride, it is allowed to settle back into stride (usually at the back of the field) and still be part of the race...in France and even Sweden (when it was shown), you break stride, you are disqualified...

The rail wins again, if a nobody like me can see it then why aren’t these jockeys on some of the horses not even trying to position themselves coming around that sweeping bend to do so and at least give themselves a fighting chance
