Ascot
Kyprios has been one of the stars of the season for Aidan O'Brien and, although the staying sensation was taken out at the five-day declaration stage on Monday, Group 1 wins in the Ascot Gold Cup, Goodwood Cup, Irish St Leger and a demolition job in the Prix du Cadran at the start of the month can be considered more than enough good work for the season.

The absence of Kyprios and the retired Stradivarius, who won this Group 2 contest in 2018, leaves Trueshan leading the ante-post market as he bids to become the first horse since Further Flight in the 1990s to win the race in three consecutive years.

Phil Kirby thought the price of Martalindy "was crazy" against 2-13 shot Mullenbeg before the mares' novice hurdle and he was proved right after the 50-1 outsider outgunned the favourite to win by a neck.

The five-year-old touched 739-1 in running on Betfair before battling Mullenbeg to a thrilling finish under Tommy Dowson, leading to shouts of joy from the stands as members of Kirby's own racing club sported scarves and badges in the club's colours.

Talk about the highs and lows of racing from Ascot yesterday to today's offering 😪

Kempton very small fields .

A few hotties but Sceau Royal is a class act.
Jemima P can also carry on winning.

Sedgefield

If Scriptwriter can jump should be the winner.

Naas Ireland

Dame Kiri should win opener

Cork

If you have to punt take the ATC with 4 mentioned above

Good Punting

Around 170 races will be cut from the 2023 summer programme, with some redistributed through the autumn, as part of measures aimed at improving the competitiveness of races in Britain next year.

Arc winner Alpinister ‘likely to win’ in the Far East – but could be deemed to have done enough.

No problems at all for Adayar but Breeders’ Cup run unlikely.

Nashwa has been given the green light for the Breeders’ Cup.

Multiple Gr1 winner, Perfect Power, heads for stud.
