England have batted like a bunch of numpties. You get a side out for 136 and then you chase the game as if there is no tomorrow. They should have taken their time and built up a lead of around 300 but they threw their bats at everything and now lead by 142 with one wicket to spare. Having a bet on Australia now to go on and win the match.

A clean-up/out of that extent implies a crises...they have one opener who occasionally performs resulting in the middle order being exposed...and Smith, for all his performances to date, is going to be found out much like Quentin de Kock WAS able to initially perform in his career but things have dramatically tailed off now...

They have a great fast bowling attack that only needs a right-arm swing bowler to be complete and that is why Ryan Harris was so crucial to the line-up...

Tough times ahead for the batting though...

I can only see one change for the 4th test for oz and that's shaun marsh in for voges ..there is n o ways oz will make radical changes in the middle of an ashes series .world class players who play so many tests will always have bad runs but as cook and bell have shown they will snap out of it...both oz and England have very good test teams and I fear big time for the proteas as they are definitely a team in decline and with the on going politics surrounding the team coupled with the new selectors I predict dark days ahead for the team ..the series against india and England are going to be very interesting..

I know Anderson being injured is a big blow but not sure it makes as big a difference as the bookies suggest,22/10 England?

The media both here and in Australia are writing off the Aussies. The Aussies must be bold and make at the very least 4 changes and without Anderson, who always bowls well at Trent Bridge, they must have a chance. Would love to see the series go down to the last day at the Oval.
