NZ smashed Pakistan by 10 wickets in the 20/20 match last night. They chased down over 170. This is the second time that they have achieved a win by 10 wickets chasing over 150 .
Depending on the team selection of the West Indies my team to win the upcoming WC has to be NZ.

They (Guptill/Williamson) broke the record for highest ever partnership in T20 cricket... Formally held by South Africans - Smith / Bosman....

I think as is normal with South Africans, you always look for the scapegoat. How can you call your greatest player childish. He was rowing against tide.
You was beaten by a better team in all departments.
Nobody in their right minds would despute the fact we were royally f..up in all facets of the game by a better team. WEll done to the English side !!
If you could read my question slowly and carefully you would realise Im not looking for a scapegoat as you put it for our BAD performance.
There is however something amiss with AB's behaviour/demeanor on the field. He needs to sort it out or it will affect the whole team, as it has. They look up to him as a senior player and their captain. If he has issues he must leave them off the field, sort them out or stop playing. Maybe these issues are more far reaching/underlying in the side then we realise and thats why Amla resigned ??
I am asking questions and giving my opinions on what I see, but I dont have the answers. In no way am I blaming AB for the defeat. Its an eleven man team and they all need to pull their weight. I am looking for reasons for our bad performances and the answers to them. The English eleven are playing far better than our eleven.
Us South Africans, you speek about, obviously live North of our borders that blame everything on colonialism. Get that chip off your shoulder L, we in SA enjoy a fair challenge and good sport win or lose.
I always think of a fantastic story during the Boer War. Goes something like this:
Father, son and about 10 Boer's were lying entrenched on a hillside. The son asks his dad, "dad how many Red Coats are there?" His dad says, "son about 500 why ?" His son says " dad we need to get this over with I dont want to be late for supper mom is making stew"

Methinks that AB has been getting some enticing offers to play in the T20 leagues and, when these are played during the international calender, he loses out...
The IPL is now part of the international cricket calender but the Big Bash as well as the other T20 leagues are not so he makes a decision to play SA during these times...if he didn't, too many uninformed people will ask too many questions...
he is in his thirties now and can make good money in the next few years playing the T20 leagues to ensure a very comfortable post-cricket life for himself and his young family...
We should be thankful that we have had the privilege of watching a champion cricketer entertain us and give his all for his country...

Apparently he has already been in chats with Sydney Thunder and will be playing for them in next years Big Bash... This means he might only have 5 or so test matches left.. Maybe even the last one will be the final test against England...
Will be a sad day for SA cricket. But the end of an era brings opportunity for the next "AB" to be born

I see that Stephen Cook has been added to the test squad for the last test. How much he gets a 100 on his debut.
Abbot has to come back in as Steyn is out. Drop Du Plessis and bring back Duminy and de Kock in for Vilas
Cook
Elgar
Amla
AB
Duminy
Temba
De Kock
Morris
Radaba
Abbot
Morkel

I think Rabada is a future star, needs experience.
You are at a transformation stage and the team needs some time and support.
