no probs with England batting. The over head conditions will suit their bowlers so we dont want to be batting for long today as another 83 could be on the cards. Just keep it tight for the next 15 overs and take a lead of around 120.

When us clanners praise a kid (Rabada), it shows something.... But when a all time great Michael Holding is super impressed, that PROVES the kid has talent...... SA have a diamond to build around.... So so so chuffed for the kid.....

he now has 18 test wickets and only his 6th match. 133 ahead now so lets hope we can get to around a 220 lead with 7 wickets in hand come the end of the day

I know I am jumping the gun a bit here, But has a batsman ever scored 100's in both innings on debut in the history of test cricket?

A lead of 280 should be enough here. The track is starting to develop some demons, and come day 5, will be extremely tough....

I think more than that Karma. Maybe around 350 as Abbott appears to be injured and Morkel is bowling like a village bowler. I cant understand why he only has around 240 test wickets. He should be over the 300 mark but he has not got the killer instinct.

this lad ben stokes is the real deal I just hope he doesn't burn himself out with all three forms of cricket ..nice to see a genuine all rounder playing test cricket as its become a rare sight since the likes of kallis Watson and flintoff have retired

@Karma...I think two have done it...Steven Cook was the 100th person to make a century on debut but there are 102 centuries listed so methinks that two of the 100 made centuries in both innings...

Just Googled and found the following...

Lawrence Rowe of West Indies and Yasir Hameed of Pakistan are the only debutants to score centuries in both innings of a Test match, doing so in 1972 and 2003 respectively.
