Rohit Sharma has got to be one of the most talented batsmen iv seen. He is his only weakness. His test career shouldve been top draw if he had a better head on his shoulders and his odi average should be more as well

Sport at the highest level is a greater mental test than physical ability...take the examples of Jonty Rhodes and Andrew Hudson...Hudson was by far the more classic batsmen but Rhodes had the greater mental fortitude such that he ended with a test average greater than Hudson...35.66 against 33.45...I Googled those numbers !! :)

Cos Mr Kirsten, was blocking away on the other side, and had to speed up things. Hudson, should open when he should play for Natal with a guy called Hobson :)

agree 100%......................another example was Clive Rice ...........his natural talent had him playing for the Maritzburg Varsity 2nd team ................his will to succeed, dedication and BMT got him to legendary status,at the highest level!

Kevin Petersen never even played 1st team cricket at High School....(Yes his attitude had a big part to play in that).... Greame Smith had imo, one of the closest mental abilities to Steve Waugh (who imo was untouchable)... And I'm not even a Smith fan

Our cricket future in SA ? Our U19 team lost to Bangladesh in the World Cup tournament, that with Smith making a ton. The shit starts at school level and worms its way up to senior level. :(

The World Cup is being played in the Sub Continent with Bangladesh being the hosts, it comes no surprise that they won. Bangladesh, senior side, did win their one day series against South Africa recently...

100 % N, but out of runs total of 197 Smith made 100, that tells me a story on its own.

the current protea selection panel in a normal world would have been booted along with the coaching staff after the last 2 test series in any other country...the steven cook issue alone is enough to get them fired ..
