The worst choke I've ever seen - both teams were 5/1 in running at some stage.

I managed to have a small bet on Aus at 9/2 in running and just hoped for a cluster of wickets to balance the game out...choke or money in the bank??!!

Abbot has to come back in as Steyn is out. Drop Du Plessis and bring back Duminy and de Kock in for Vilas

Cook
Elgar
Amla
AB
Duminy
Temba
De Kock
Morris
Radaba
Abbot
Morkel

I think Rabada is a future star, needs experience.
You are at a transformation stage and the team needs some time and support.

Rabada needs experience is an understatement, no doubt a talent but does not show much emotion and aggression when bowling, ntn like a Dale Steyn, hope our bowling coach
shows him how to do so, which i think he cant.

Bold statement there bud!

Not everyone shows passion by screaming and swearing and air punching.
Shaun Pollock took most wickets than any other SA bowler and he wasnt the most excitable on the field.

People show or feel passion in a different way. Trust me Rabada has passion and he will show it in the wickets column

Richard Snell showed the least emotion at taking a wicket !! :) And he took a fair amount at all levels...

Well said Sheza...

1 BOLD example I can think of (and I am not in by any means saying he is in his class YET, after all he is only 20) but Curtly Ambrose was known worldwide for never saying a word, yet he was feared worldwide......

@Karma...Curtley Ambrose did say a good few words to Steve Waugh during a very heated exchange !! I think Richie Richardson had to restrain Curtley Ambrose from knocking Steve Waugh's head off...also think it was the match in which Steve Waugh made 200 and was in a big partnership with brother Mark and signalled the end of West Indian dominance in the West Indies (and elsewhere thereafter)... :( ...world cricket needs a strong West Indian team...

Indeed TNaicker, however, you can count on 1 hand how many spats Big Curtly had... More importantly, it was towards the end of his career. During his absolute heyday he was the silent assasin, (maybe baring 1 or 2 incidents)... And regarding the world needing a strong West Indies team, I couldn't agree with you more. It is so sad where there performances in the test arena has fallen to... If it continues to go the way it is, they might even fall outside of being a fully fledged test playing nation, which will be sad for world cricket....

But moving onto todays game, I must say WELL DONE to Stephen Cook.... Was an absolute great start to his international career... SA look like they have found a good opening pair for the next 4-5 years, and hopefully we are able to build on that....

Agreed @Karma...starts with the openers...if either or both of them go cheaply, it exposes the middle order...a number 3 is not an opener or a substitute for an opener failing and hence the pressure on Amla and de Villiers...and I feel a bit sad for Stiaan van Zyl...the fall guy for the selectors mistakes...and it is a very inexperienced selection panel that we have...

Big Curtley didn't need to say too much...he made the ball talk and a glare was more than enough...and he could crank up the speed if he was really upset...think he retired with an average under 22...that makes him an all time great in my humble opinion...

I saw a Youtube video of him taking 7 for 1 in 30 balls against Australia...that was magic...and unplayable...and shows what is lacking in world cricket today...no genuine great fast bowlers...all the advantages lie with batsmen and they are padding their stats and compare well statistically with the greats of the game but are not really so...sad indeed...

I read somewhere that the really athletic teens in the West Indies are taking up basketball rather than cricket as the lure of the big money is too enticing...those that are getting into cricket are those that come in late having realised that basketball is not for them...they have therefore not developed the cricket skills at a young age and over many years to play first class leave alone test cricket...hence the rapid decline we have seen... :( :(

@ TNaicker, I am really shocked to hear that regarding teens in W.I. rather choosing basketball over cricket.... (I am no enthusiast when it comes to basketball), but in my limited knowledge, I have never heard of a W.I's team achieving great levels like they did in cricket.... They have so much raw talent (and I guess that raw talent can be converted to many genres of sport), but looking at the greats they have produced in the cricket arena, it really is disheartining that youngsters don't want to emulate their hero's....

In the current crop of commentators, I must say (and once again it is a W.I great), Michael Holding (to me), is one of the best... I can listen to him for hours as his knowledge is priceless and he calls a spade a spade.... W.I, maybe need to give him a lucrative offer to try and save the day.....
