Just ridiculous how a long battle was fought to remove any discrimination on the basis of one's hue and the very first things the new "rulers" did was to introduce legislation to perpetuate it or requiring such information on government / official forms !! I lost a few members of family due to the politics of this country and they would certainly be saddened by how things have become...this is certainly not what they envisaged...

Can someone please tell me which person or persons of colour should of not been in the South African cricket squad, and which white person or persons should of been in the cricket squad in order for us to have prevented the English Kicking our asses?

I saw our normal squad and team with the exception of Bavuma who imo out batted most of the batsmen on both teams.

The reason why South African sports is on the decline and will continue to be on the decline is not because of quota or race or youth or anything other than the fact that we will ALWAYS find excuses to cover for our losses.

We didnt lose because of our lack of squad strength or because of our skin colours, we lost because as a Nation in all things be it the economy or poverty or sports or entrepreneurship or anything NO accountability is taken and no one is punished for under permanence and we all as a people or as a nation look for every excuse under the sun to say why we didnt win or why we lost

And as for the T20 wc india has too much fire power in the batting and spinners who are world class on indian pitches. On top of the Their spinners can bat as well with Jadeja and extremely good batsmen

The only other players that should have been in the team were Philander and Steyn but as we know they were unfortunately both injured. Mind you if they were fit then Radaba would never have played and i doubt that they would have taken all those wickets which he did. Every player imo in that team were selected on merit as they all got better(well not AB) as the series progressed. Biggest mistake was not selecting Cook in the first test. They could have batted Van Zyl at 4. Although they lost the series there are a lot of positives to have come out of this. Pity that they have to wait until August to play another test. Thats the biggest problem in SA cricket. Australia, India, England, Sri Lanka even Pakistan play more tests per year. Shocking that they play on average 6 tests a yeat.

Its all about our depth of world class players. How many of our top players have left our shores to play for other countries?
Nobody is pointing fingers directly at individual players, but are they of an international standard ? Obviously not. Can they be replaced with better players ? Smith is a fair example. This goes for coaches, staff and the selection panels. Too many outside influences from no-players and not enough old knowledgeable ex-players involved. Complete waste of talent.
Since quotas have been introduced we have had a mass exodus of our top players to early in their careers and this affects the juniors coming in to early with little or no experience,just raw talent. If they are not nurtured correctly well......... This also gives rise to fewer senior players to help with this process, but at the same time play a winning game.
Im also tired of excuses and so are most of the fans (numbers are down big time)

They destroyed the Aussie attack, but remember they were 6th choice bowlers.

Imvho, SA cricket will lose one of there biggest talents in Riley Russouw if they don't select him in all formats of the game..... That kid has more talent in his left toe than a lot of people could ever wish for...... Duminy does not bowl much anyway, Faf hasn't scored a run,they are both over 30.... Russouw is 26 (I think), put him in, he can change games (albeit he doesn't bowl), he change change a game similiar to a "Stokes" that's what we need.... We have turned Cook away for so long.... Why are we still turning away Russouw?????
