Can SA beat NZ again ?

Because of the teams regularly cancelling each other out, both NZ and SA SHOULD make the semis - SA has to play India and Afghanistan after today and we would hope to have the measure of Afghanistan at least which would get SA to 12 points even if we lose today against NZ and India, which should be enough to finish either 2nd or 3rd (depending on run-rate of course) - one has to probably not finish in 4th to have a more realistic chance of making the final - as 1st plays 4th in the semis and it is most likely that India will finish top

Unless something unexpected happens (like SA losing to Netherlands ) - and the current odds reflect that - the Top 4 should be India, SA in 2nd or 3rd with NZ and Australia completing the top 4 positions - so SA needs to win 3 more games (Afghanistan, the semi and the final) to be World Champions - I have taken some of the 7/2 offered - yes I know the story of the donkey :dry:

So today SA take on India - luckily no matter what the result the Proteas should finish first (if they manage to beat India) or 2nd - either way SA will not face India in the semis - NZ surprisingly lost to Pakistan after scoring over 400 - but still NZ likely to make the semis as they are facing a demoralized Sri Lanka

Proteas look like a team that are not too bothered as they are in the semis as India power their way to 61/0 off 5 overs. Can this be the first ever 500?
