The way i saw it..........his studs were up and he did catch the other player, but i saw a 2nd kick after he already connected him. To me, this showed intent by Nani toactually have a go at the othe player. He then realized it and tried to make a big scene about how "injured" he was. He knew he was guilty!! Red card any time of the day.

Peekay then the Real coach must have blinkers as he was visibly embarrased by the sending off... and stated so after the game..

Recall last season in Champs league Chelsea doing the impossible with 10 men and 60 odd minutes remaining...

I watched this Len. He was just saving his own face and couldn't actually stir up ant controvercy because he wants the job in England. Imagine he made the comments he "really" wanted to? What would that have done for his chances or for the fans?
Are you telling me he wasn't excited and happy his team won?
All a good put-on if you ask me!

@Agra, read my statement after that boet..I am and always will be Liverpool, but hardly ever make an emotional decision when it comes to neutral games..the 1st leg, I'm sure I posted somewhere that Man U will either win or draw as they were playing the better football in the matches leading to the game.. And I had a punt. Yday I had a punt on Real and thought my tom was done as Man U were playing fantastic football, and as I stated there is no need 4 the man u fans to curl up and hibernate as they played a helluva match and went down fighting,imo.. BUT- we can't help but realise the favouritsm by the comentators and the fact that the substitution by Mourino was top draw and that's what won them the match, not necessarily the fact that Nani got sent of. Agra, u know me better when it comes to punting, no favouritism and I'm the 1st guy to tell u Man U is my banker every weekend in all my football bets

Nani "put-on" being injured...............YES
Mourinho "put-on" being upset for WINNING............an even bigger YES
I would say less absurd and more believable

PK. After this, not going to discuss it with you further because to be honest I think that if that is truly your assessment then it is so deep in outer space it would take me too long to get there and life is way too short
Both put on the seriousness of how injured they were... one with far greater consequences for the other player (Nani is generally a faker though and what goes around comes around). That was not really your point though... you think the red card was deserved and United fans should take off their blinkers... from what I have heard/read 99% of those who saw it think the red card was at best, extremely harsh... so you are saying that only you and the other 1% watched without blinkers on. Hmmmm :S
Mourinho... I doubt very much he was upset at winning, certainly never gave me that impression. Simply said his team were generally second best and lucky to win, a fairly honest assessment. Good for him for the honesty (tu)

Incorrect, he said "the better team lost, we didn't play well tonight" and added "I don't know about the red card." The red card looked harsh but that didn't excuse the behaviour of the commentators. I wonder if the ref could sue them for their "skulduggery" and "the ref has his own agenda" comments.
